El Cappy-tan with the tie, 1-1. B-E-A-utiful. - I Am The Breadman
Scheifele was giving Toews a clinic during that shift - and then he turns around and pots that goal. Well done. |

They said it in the broadcast, but that was a really good setup from Keith. |

Those goals with a few seconds left in the period are either back breakers or momentum builders depending on the team. |

Toews with his 15th goal of the season
Last year he scored his 15th on February 8th, meaning he is 8 weeks ahead of last year's pace, when he finished the year with only 20 total.
I'd say he's back. |

Agreed. When’s the last time the Hawks scored a late period goal? Seems like we’re always giving them up. |

Nice that he is shooting back north of 15%. He was consistently in that range from like 2011-2016. |

Hopefully they can build on that and come out strong in the 2nd period. |

I'm not sure you can offer sheet that many guys. Not enough first round picks. |

I don’t want to jinx him, but Gustafsson has looked halfway decent so far. |

wow, balance on the blue line in the 1st period ranging from a low of 6:22 for Jokiharju and a high of 6:50 for Murphy, everyone else between them. |

Had the same thought. Seems they were never getting any in the last two minutes.

It’s a shame they didn’t let the NHL play in the Olympics.....hopefully they bring back the World Cup

Looking forward to the World Junior tournament after Christmas. Will be able to see some Hawk prospects and potential draft picks. |

It’s always a fantastic tournament, even more intriguing as we look at a good chance for a Top 3 pick |

The more I was thinking about Perlini the more I was thinking maybe he can be a bit in the Sharp mold. Good wheels and can shoot. Maybe not the same one timer (I honestly haven't seen him tee many up) but if he can get going he really tips the scales of that trade. |

After a beauty 4th line shift, spend time in our zone, Kahun with a great effort and Dahlstrom pass for a 20 and 19 two on one. El Cappy-tan again! 2-1! |
