the bottom seven teams in the league are separated by 4 points...

the race to the bottom might more entertaining then the race to the top...

- bogiedoc

A few of those other teams have 3 games in hand which could increase that gap.
But, at this point, Hawks aren't guaranteed a top 3 pick. I agree the race to the bottom will go down to the wire.

Well said . Thank you . We all have opinions and we all care about this team, doesn't mean I'm right and your wrong or vice versa.

The entire point of this board is to share ideas , thoughts , and frustrations along with praises and hearsay

You do realize his middle paragraph was pure sarcasm right? Agree with the rest of the statement though.

Wow that's Rich coming from you and your pathetic advice and knowledge.

Last I checked none of us including yourself has ever coached ,played or ran a front office for any nhl team. Everything is all speculation and opinions, just because you may not like or agree with one's proposals doesn't mean
your some magical hockey God who knows better.

Just makes you look little , shallow and thin skinned as well as uniformed.

- Taylorst1

You obviously don't know what thin skinned means you're the one that throws a poop fit when it's pointed out how dumb your posts are.

If you believe knowledgeabe in what Colliton can do, there is great joy for Blackhawks resurrection power

If you believe that Stan Bowman can.turn this team around, then your faith is borders ng somewhat on blund faith....until he brought the n Colliton

Now what we have in Colliton is a coach who if we go by his.syructure, his ways and his success kadtseason in Rockford, we have a winner. This approach will work in the NHL.

Bowman has to draft enough home runs with too picks. He hambkes when he brings in an Egdsell but his scouts have also identified later round picks like me Carlsson, Mitchell.and you are seeing Dahlstrom now.

You are also watching Gustufsson and who would have guessed when he got his reprieve to skate NHL again, he would choose to abandon his defensive job all too often

Well it seems fairly obvious that this great wave of defensemen is a good start (it's coming hyped like the fall new shows on TV would be hyped)

Barrett and Sikula are promising players we need to see. A big body like Knott excited me if he can graduate and move into the NHL.

But honestly, truly Kane needs a stud center OR whomever with him, but a stud to be #2 center. I can hear all critics saying, hold on, Toews is still darn good. Ok, granted he can still offer much (at a ridiculous pricetag) but he is not the center whom is going to make his wingers great scoring machines. He also female dogs it because he cannot always play tough and physical and all out to live healthy to collect a paycheck.

What.....you draft all forwards whom could become Hossa clones. Cough. You draft the best FORWARD available

I just hope it is a gritty but also a gifted offensive forward.

I have an idea Stan might draft such. Round one, early pick he won't screw up

I believe Colliton can mold a team . I do not buy Z3 blogger who wrote about Colliton inexperience. Bollshoi. There is sense to what you say, Z3, but I do not think it has to be issue. It is not even debatable.

Colliton should. be fine

I’m psyched to see Sikula too! Who is he?

Not knowing Q personally I have no way knowing his desire to get another head coaching job - but Philly doesn't seem like a top choice to me. Unless the Philly talent pipeline is about to inject a few top level players into the Flyers lineup including a top level goalie they seem like a reclamation project to me.

Calgary needs a healthy, proven goaltender to make a serious cup run. I know the rumors are that CC nixed a trade there previously but do you think that could be different this time around? If so, what does he fetch in return?

Listed as 5-6" 150. Has to grow, eh. Makes Keith look big

About Barkov: yet to record a big scoring season. Always misses lots of time with injuries. Great talent, sure. Beware what you wish for.

- jhawk59

He’s being called the next Patrick Kane... how can the Hawks pass him up?

Just read the Flyers blog. Some of their posters feel that if Q is named their coach some Hawks will want to be traded there based on their love and loyalty for Q.

Their posters are about evenly split about obtaining Keith. They do not want Toews, Some think that Anisimov or Crawford would be okay. One poster proposed a Kane for Voracek trade.

Flyers wanting Kane, maybe they need to revisit the 2010 SC playoffs. Haha.

They could show that goal on their scoreboard while introducing Kane before their games.

I'm pretty sure Jack Hughes is taller than 5'6". He's listed at 5'10" 157lbs. I doubt they fudge as much as 4". Regardless, Johnny Hockey has done pretty well as a munchkin, and Hughes is actually worthy of being compared with Gaudreau. He may be even better.

Agreed. Hughes, Kakko, or Podkolzin would all likely make the Hawks roster out of training camp next year.

Anyone have the lines and Defense pairs projected for tonight??

Question for you all: are any of you interested or captivated by these out door games?

The hawks/bruins on New Years day. Just another game to me. The outdoor game pumping by NBC/NHL has worn old and stale. I have not watched any that don't involve the hawks. And they are 1-4 in those games. and soon to be 1-5.

The ice is usually bad, the weather sucks, and camera angles really sucks. Who needs it.
