Are you taking the job, Q?

How would you describe your time off? “Fine”

Describe your 10 years with the Blackhawks. “It was ok”

Will you go to the Bowman’s Christmas party? “We’ll see. We have some options back there”

With the core guys you'd like to get a draft pick as high as possible. But that means trading with a horsepoop team. I can't imagine those guys would waive to go to a losing team, they might as well stay here and not turn their world upside down moving to another city.

Hi, everyone.
I am gonna run the loop, as I just came here to see if our Tommyhawk was gonna be able to comment on his fighting fan takedown and the calmness with he handled his duties while in uniform.

Tommyhawk, PM me with what the organizations said to you...

Been here and there and reworking my mock draft board which is really finished into the fifth round...the new talent drops around slot #125, where I start adding the second yr. eligibles.

I am gonna say it one more time:

The 2019 draft crop is really good...sure Hughes has a lock on #1 right now, but he is getting caught in mud on his inside attack moves a lot recently.

There are in my humble opinion, a strong seven, and you could easily argue a strong 11.
I said earlier in the year here that each team selecting, who is NOT in the playoffs will have an opportunity to get a real nice prospect.
This is the first year I have had an opinion that sees the entire first round selections as close to true first rounders, no leveling off, in the 20's where teams have a dozen guys really close in ranks, and all the possibles look like prospects of draft grades that in. lost years would be late teens.
That made sense, right?

In that top seven are two true centre, and two other guys that might be asked to play centre. I view Kirby each as a wing, but I have talked to many who think he may be a guy who makes the transition to pivot permanently.

The other is Kaapo Kakko.
He is an elite player and probably a notch ahead of Dylan Cozens and the wings and defenders I have on DraftSite as going early. Kakko has established himself a notch ahead of the forwards in slots three to six.

On Keith or one of the four Core being traded:

I thought that recent TheAtheleic article where all their Hawk writers chimed in on one article as the future looms, was excellent in explaining what the process management is taking or will take with those guys, asking if they want to move on as the rebuild will take some years, or if they want to waive their no trade clauses.

The one thought of Keith being the easiest best tradeable asset makes sense, but don't think the Blackhawks might eat have of Brent Seabrook Cap hit, or that teams see him as fading star. Think about what StanBo did/paid to bring in an older former Philly defender, basically to be in the room.
and yes, a contender is what they would what any of our core would expect to waive...unless the want to go their hometowns?

The question might be when does Stan lose his ability to be the GM, when / if his hands get tied very soon, because they are planning HIS exit, despite the retools to two and three Cups.

Dano...was a reach when Columbus drafted him.
I had him ranked a fifth round ( but of course that was based on limited views by me), but I did have many prospects the hawks did pick going before anyone would take him.

He was really a centre wing and it was quickly decided that he was a net front precense wing.

So he is what he always was.

Am swamped so PM if something is on your mind, as I am not gonna be back very soon, and already didn't like the negative energy some where eating out on others and followed the posts looking for Tommy Hawk post...

Merry Christmas Happy Hanukkah and please peacefully distribute your service as your days move forward.

You know Gord Murphy was just fired here as defense coach Joel. His son Connor played for you in Chicago. Any chance you bring him to Philly with you? No, he sucks real bad. Worst trade the idiot GM over there ever made. But I do want Duncs and Kaner.

Ok, breaking my rule Enzo, b/c you made me laugh....

this is classic Q - even if the Flyers are paying 4 million the hawks MUST pay whatever the difference is. (2 more million) = 6 mil, his deal

You and Bogie cracked me up, better than my response to the coaching job. You guys make better Q's than Q does. You left off slinging back shots at tailgate parties though.

Hey Wiz, I've been here posting since September, I think. I'm just saying what's up, because a lot of posters talk about you and your draft player synopses. I look forward to reading them and talking with you here and there.

Ha! Typical. Of course there is female doging about Nagy's play calling and the Bears not female dog slapping this Packers team into submission...but not one celebratory post on the Bears making the playoffs for the first time since 2010 (I think) and beating Rodgers and the Packers for the first time in the last 6 meetings.

Oh well...consistency. Go Bears!

I didn't because I talk about the Bears too much on a hawks blog. Going 7-1 at home is big. Who knew Fox saying we were on the cusp of winning was accurate? In fairness, Q getting a job/not getting a job took precedence.

I think he said "We are on the cusp of someone else winning"...which is way more prophetic.

No excuses on Bear posts this season. Shouldn't be anyway. God forbid a moment of joy should creep into this place.

I gamble on football but the NFL is far from entertaining. Can’t hit anyone, all Commercials, endless penalty flags.....good for the Bears’ fans though. Rocky’s team very lucky the Bulls are terrible too or they’d be looking at the 4 spot in Chicago Sports priority again....

Edit: NCAA football is much more entertaining IMO (Go Bucks)

I understand. I added to the post before you quoted me, but no big deal there. I'm excited af because I didn't get to live through the 85 Bears. We almost had a chance against Indy, there is that, I guess. I have been watching Pats and Steelers also.

Hahaha to your Fox interpretation.

Different strokes for different folks. I find NCAA football increasingly less interesting.
Most of the QB play is total garbage and there are so many lopsided games you can hardly count.

The rules are the rules and I get the frustration on tackling. They need to figure it out...but it still blows away what the NCAA is peddling...IMHO.

Solid start by DeBrincat. That second goal doesn't happen without his willingness to go after the puck.
