Screw going after Kane.
Start going after pucks - be hard on the scrums at the boards and win some battles - engage - clear the crease in front of your goalie (I’m thinking of you, Gus). - StLBravesFan
i kinda figured that win over the pens was a one game wonder...here they go again right back into the dumper; needed a a goal with 7 seconds left just get a point the other night
1-11-2 soon to be over 14 games; i don't think they win in regulation for the rest of 2018...this team is broken, fractured, shattered what ever word you would like to chose... |

It's a good bet. But the thing that is great (for me anyway) in the NFL...is that there is no sure thing.
Home field helps, I think even moreso in domes, but the Saints offense was slowed down vs Dallas...granted it was in Dallas, but there's always hope. I don't think anyone's a lock from either conference this year. - HawkintheD
Yea you are probably right, nothing is a lock in sports (typically), but a game in NawLeons won't be met with any confidence, but Ill have fun watching the young Bears play that game.
I was there for the 1980s, 1984 Bears were NASTY and was a GREAT team, probably the 2nd best team in the NFL that year (though 84 Marino Dolphins were crazy good on offense), but they really had no chance in the NFC Title game in San Francisco. |

PE would you like to explain your comment... - bogiedoc
So, there are no adults on this board anymore? If Tom Wilson pulled a play that that, there would be all kinds of talk about it being a suspendable play. And, I can't help that Evander Kane is not a pale individual. I think we can all agree on that. Sometimes you have to look at things as they are. |

Deja vu all over again. Almost one year to the day since Cro's last injury. At least we don't have to speculate what caused this one. Hoping that he recovers quickly, but a possible head injury so soon after taking 9-10 months to recover from the previous one doesn't look promising. I also hope that Hawk management is more forthcoming about his prognosis, as far as the HIPPA law allows.
Corey, I am sure I can speak for a lot of us posters that we appreciate what you have done for the team the past several years. - boilermaker100[/quote]
damn right...but as sage says i hope we are to early with the euologies |

Carcillo, having heard about the Crow hit, goes through what the Hawks typical concussion protocol is (imaging similar to most teams'). It's pretty damning. He's been on a crusade to get the NHL to take head injuries more seriously, and in the process has opened a lot of eyes and also made a lot of enemies.

Luckily, it seems that Corey took responsibility for his own care last year and I'm expecting he will again should this be another career-threatening head injury. Knock wood, it is not. |

Still hate the Niners mostly cause of those 80's teams. Bears can go 11-4 against them next week. |

Otis Wilson said the defense would have played for free if they played in today's NFL. - I Am The Breadman
Not sure that defense could have survived in today's game, for a couple reasons:
1-Offenses really spread out today, it would have been a bad match for the 46 (for an early example, see Dolphins Miami, MNF, game 13 from that year)
2-The Bears HIT people. Imagine the number of personal fouls that team would have racked up. 1984 team may have been NASTIER. They delighted in knocking QBs out the game (see Oakland, Raiders that season, LOL)
In the end, the 1985 Bears of then would be the best defense today, but it would look a lot different. Still, a D-Line of Dent, Mongo, Danimal, Fridge with LBs of Wilbur, Samari and Otis? Holy poop. Our secondary wasn't bad either, Frazier, Richardson, Bell and the Professor. ...
1985 Bears were the greatest defense ever along with the Steel Curtain of the 70s. Big difference is Steelers got 4 rings and they also won Super Bowls before and after major rules changes. |

I once saw a program on the NFL channel about their take on the top 10 best ever defenses. I think the 85 Bears were ranked 2nd. Anyway they showed clips of all the hits Wilson, Marshall, Hampton, Fencik et al made. Almost all of them would be called a penalty these days. |

Yeah, a lot of posters have made that claim. I just can't root against the hawks. - I Am The Breadman
Yeah same here. This team has been on top of the mountain for the last decade.Drafting towards the end of the first round. Hopefully drafting in the top 5 will bring a player or prospect that can make an immediate impact is what I was trying to say. |

Yep, they rolled the Bears two time in title games in the 80s.
23-0
28-3
Walsh was a better football coach than Ditka sad to say.
But those 1980s Niners teams were really good. The (home) losses to the Redskins are the ones that infuriated me. |

Based on your initial post equating Evander Kane and black people taking an interest in hockey with gang bangers, I'm guessing that you haven't experienced much of a life outside of drooling over Milan Lucic. |

The reason that that hi stick was not called is because Kruger was following through on a clearing attempt. I was surprised that Pat and Eddie didn't pick up on that but... oh wait, I'm not surprised. |
