That sounds like prudent planning. 3rd line minutes, but PP usage to get the most of that shot of his. I'd like to see him there over Tage or Bergy, even though Tage is coming on slowly. At least he isn't the dumpster fire he was at the start of the year. - RhinoFan
Tage is there because of his shot, the kid has a cannon
I wish someone would cross check him in the mouth every game to see one of his blasts again. |

Sam has been hated on since his first real pro season
He could put up 75 points this year and people will still not give him any credit - Stripes77
What is "that's because he plays on a line with Jack" Am I right Alex? |

I would love a Pommer in his prime years on this team right now - Stripes77
So much yes.
Coming over the blue line, ripping a half clapper from the well out high glove, post and down.

I am glad he is forcing their hand here |

Pommer can't play 22 minutes a night
It's that simple - homiedclown
he needs to either be on the fourth line, in the press box or traded...nothing against him personally, but he's looking very old |

joel armia had similar traits in that he had a lot of skill and a great stick but he had to really get p.o.'d to bring out his best |

it doesn't take away from the fact that his overall game is lacking - Michael Pachla
You are right Michael.
Overall lacking. Does show some signs occasionally to keep some hope alive.
-Skating is below par, cannot stop nor change directions quickly without losing balance ...making forecheck and backcheck ineffective.
-Is 6'5" and plays like Bambi...even if he fills out and bulks up, his mentality is of a 5'8" 160lb lightweight.
I know many here will jump on me for the 2nd one, but why would someone intentionally throw away an attribute that can accelerate their success. He should be forced to live with Larry in Lockport for the balace of the season and grow some angry balls. |

No, Pommer was slowing down. Don't believe me that Samson is the superior player? Check their stats away from Eichel and get back to me.
You were doing so well, sipped the Hatorade again, huh? And after that pass last night and the good board play...jeesh.
Edit: I believe Samson has one of the longest point streaks in the league right now. Just figured I'd add this. - RhinoFan
I've been to every home game except Tampa and la
Been to 3 road games
Arizona, Vegas and Tampa this year.
I watch the games closely.
Sam made a pass few people on the planet can make.
Sam dumped some dude hard on the back check in our own net.
He also:
Gave the puck away 3 or 4 times for no apparent reason
He is playing well, to pretend it has nothing to do with eichel is ludicrous.
Eichel needs him to put the puck in the net, he hand feeds it to his linemates
How many times to I need to say "sam is playing well", before i can critique his game with out you crying about my post?
Pommer is 36. Sam should be in his prime right?

The Reinhart hate started well before any jack eichel goal draughts
Stop sounding like a leaf fan and enjoy the ride - homiedclown
The hate was well deserved dude.
Sam was doing nothing the first 15 games.
You wanted to trade him. That's how bad it was.

I'd say it was more adequate than good. He also had some pretty bad turnovers; I counted 3. What I'm noticing is that he'll often make a pass in the defensive zone from the boards with his back to the play without taking a look first.
But yes, the sauce pass was saucy for sure. - BareMetal
Wasn't his best game to date, but the whole "swap him for Pommer and no difference" nonsense is more of what my response was to.

This site sucks compared to the past 10 years in most part due to hate like what you spill out
And we are a good team right now

Pommer might not be bringing the same "on the ice" at 36. But, you know he's a great guy for the young players to learn from. He's a great leader and professional.
Okposo as well.
I'd rather my son learn from these 2 guys, then ek9, for and lehner.
You need these veterans , you know that.
I'm sure sam is learning how to be a pro from pommer. |

I have wactched every game this season from the comfort of my recliner on my 72" HDTV located about 8' feet from me ... and have done so very carefully.
Sam made somd great plays last night. He also gave away the puck several times, a couple in primo position for high danger shots by AZ.
To pretend he sucks is stupid
To pretend he is like god, playing without fail is stupid.

Let's all pretend that everyone on here doesn't criticize players at one point or another, even when they're playing well.
Each player gets a participation trophy:
"Thanks for playing for the Buffalo Sabres.
We know you didn't do your best, but we'll believe you did because we want to." |

You are the biggest hypocrite on the board.
Then it's just "jokingly " because you're "a clown"
You can't just discuss/debate the Sabres without insulting other people?
Very childish

The word? How can you even hear with that costume covering your ears?
He was our captain for years. That's a fact. That doesn't happen because your teammates and coaches don't respect you?
Quiet or not he's a mentor. Maybe a few more guys should have shut up last year?
Jbotts the genius clearly knows what he's doing.

plausible deniability

Not contract.
Player - Okposo better than Berglund.
Contract - Okposo worse than Berglund. - IonSabres
Yeah, I agree
And if Okposo made Berglund's $3.8 instead of $6m, Okposo wouldn't be a pressing problem |
