Oh I don’t disagree, but I just like how you never pass up an opportunity to bash Eichel, but get on everyone’s case when people do the same thing with Reinhart.

Okposo might not be a 6M player right now but I don't know if he's THAT bad/useless to give that up to just get a body. If it was to get a decent top 6 guy back then sure but not JUST to move a contract.

3 great centers come into the nhl in a 2 year span, so what if jack is the worst right now, still better then probably 24 of the other first line centers in the game

Jack is 6th in the NHL in points among Centers. Higher than guys like Malkin, Backstrom, Giroux, Monahan, Tavares, Crosby, Pettersson, and Couture.

if they sign skinner, okposo handcuffs any big slashes to make moving forward in the cap

even if pommer walks, whatever you save from skinner and pommer vs skinners new deal will be offset by mccabe's raise and the entry level contract to replace pommer on the roster

but patty and alexander are still the best duo of all time

His shooting percentage is starting to get back to normal too so watch out. With a little more luck and an assistant coach capable of coordinating a PP hes a top 5 player in the league as early as next year.

Man... I went digging on our cap after this.... and saw that we are still paying Cody Hodgson $791K every year until 2023.

Not i'm all depressed and emotional man.

The difference in depth we have between LHD and RHD is absurd. I think a 1 for 1 trade would make sense with a lot of teams that have the opposite problem.

Good RH defensemen aren’t generally available
There’s just less of them in the league
That’s why u see so many LH guys playing the right side

Not that i don’t like Samuelsson,
but i was kinda surprised we didn’t take Bode Wilde instead bc he’s a RH shot

Our best bet at swapping LH for RH might be to try & move Scandella at the deadline for a decent prospect to a playoff team looking for Vet defenseman depth
We only get someone worthwhile if he starts playing much better when he gets back though
And even then, we might have to find some sucker like Chiarelli or McPhee

Then so be it. Unless the term is shorter like you mentioned you would think this organization would learn from the Okposo and Moulson mistakes. Skinner couldn't garner more then Pu and medling draft picks in the offseason and now hes a $8.5M dollar player ?

This is my reaction to when people complain about Jack not scoring enough goals. If it's Jack's goal or him setting up a Skinner goal... I don't care who scores it. Look at the goals produced by THAT WHOLE LINE. Sam is almost a PPG player. The best he's been in his career was about a .55.
