Not complaining but obvious it didn't work out. Low risk trade with nothing to lose. - VANTEL

You would think TO could have got better value for Leivo? JB jumped on the chance when someone had to clear waivers for Nylander. |

They had zero time to shop around . 11 th hour signing of Nylander pushed Leivo out the door. They are familiar with Comets farm team seeing they see them so much . They could not take a NHL player back and if they put him on waivers he would have been scooped up.

He is a horrible public speaker . You Know

The other day I turned on 590 halfway through an interview with some hockey insider/analyst so i didn't get his name but he was from Vancouver and they were talking about EP and Brock. Then he started talking about how even tho Benning sounds like a moron in interviews he's very well respected by all the other GMs. The 590 guys agreed and said they had heard the same thing.

I am sure he is very well respected among his peers . There is no doubt thou the more that he stays away from public view the better . Look at Lefty for facts. Jim has been quiet on the public front and Lefty is letting up on his harsh criticism. |

The Blues have locked up one of their depth defenders, announcing that they have signed Robert Bortuzzo to a three-year extension. The deal will carry a cap hit of $1.375MM, representing a small upgrade on his current $1.15MM contract.

Not saying I want too see any of those 3 in top 6 ever, my point was, Erickson is almost impossible to move, Motte is younger and cheaper, they all provide similar production and we have too many of these non-eventful types in the lineup.
So, with Loui being immovable and Motte providing some speed and physicality, along with similar production as Granlund, I would like Granlund gone, as players that provide the role he plays should at least be able to provide a bit of physicality and he provides zilch. - Reubenkincade
Granlund has proven he can continue this for years, Motte hasn't. Trade motte, or keep all three for the bottom six, them and beagle, rousell and sutter are a decent bottom 6 leaving alien, boeser, horvat, goldy, Jake and bear in the top 6. Schaller and whomever I forgot can share the press box. |
