I wonder how they found out he wasn't actually sick - jcragcrumple
Read (reed) the standard player contract negotiated as part of the CBA. Before a player can miss action the team has the right to have the team doc examine.

My position is Berglund will not play again as a Sabre.
My position is his agent and Botts are finding a way to pay him to leave or trade him to another club.
He will not return to this locker room. - Der Kaiser
You are probably right in terms of not returning to the team.
Trade though? That would be a miracle. Who wants a $3.875m 4th liner that scores 1 goal every 20 games with an attitude problem no less? I think that ship has sailed...if he can pull that off, GM of the century to him!

Talk to the Caps Maybe they'd take him. They seem to like former Blues players. Oshie, Eller, Jaskin.... Ha ha ha

Yeah, that's the weird part, right? I get being a malcontent on a bad team, but he's making good money and playing on a good team. It's not as though he's been the only one scratched, either. Girgs, Erod, Elie and he have all been scratched.
I remember after they moved him off center, he said something to the effect of "I'm more comfortable on the wing." So he got his wish there. If he wanted a bigger role, he could have embraced the center assignment. He was still recently on the PP, too.
This team is winning and has a good vibe. It's odd to have a malcontent in their midst - jcragcrumple
Is it? 70% of the posters here are malcontents even though the team is good.

Meh, really?
After 5 seasons of 82 games, that is 460 games of poop play, and you expect it all goes away after 32 games?
I am happy with their transition from 31st, and enjoying the transformation of the team into a playoff caliber team that still has a way to go.
I'm ok with fans being critical of the elements that aren't quite there yet.

At the break, Housley needs to tell these guys to simply ignore the opposite teams uniform and just play their own game.
Also reinforce to them that Washington played last night.
