Being unfair to Hakstol and the players...
The players haven't been playing for crap, so frankly they are being unfair to the fans. As for Hakstol, I don't think he is the issue, but I do think he has lost the room.

There is enough dead wood in the room that can be shipped out that it should change the atmosphere, but the needs ... the needs ...

Also hearing that some Hawks could be heading to Philly. And separately, the reason Lyon didn't play last night was because he is part of a big potential deal to get a goalie...not from Chicago.

Coach Q is definitely a great addition to the team. But the flyers roster is nothing special and they're still a bubble team with him coaching.

wow first time ek put a rumor out there and people taking it seriously.I hope coach Q can play D,score on the pp,kill penalties, and make timely saves.If he can this teams problems are finally solved. Oh ya i hope he can be more consistent and actually put in a good effort.

The team has quit on Hak. I watched the 3rd period last night and it was as sucky a hockey as you can watch. The talent is there to be a pretty good team. They are TERRIBLE on special teams. Mistakes seem to always end in the back of the net.

Alex Lyon? Jesus. Really? I know they've got issues but seriously - how good can a team be with a 5th or 6th string goalie. Pickard is looking good right about now. Ouch, I can't believe I just typed that.

I am GOOD with also bringing in Duncan Keith. Its going to cost some youth or picks (or both) but he's at a good cap number and knows how to win. While a very different player, he could bring that leadership and experience that Pronger did.

My concern is that this season is close to gone. They would need to change things around OVERNIGHT and that is a tough trick to pull off.

Roster definitely needs an overhaul.

When Laughton is your best forward and Gudas is your best defenseman, during a game, you know something is seriously wrong with the character of the team.
I wasn't aware of Voracek even playing last night, until the midway point of 3rd period. This team needs some serious cleansing, from the top down.

Coach Q would be a welcome addition, to this franchise.

Who cares. The Flyers issue is not something Q can fix with his outdated systems. It is goaltending and the people that keep buying the wrong guy.

He can. His moustache has a 0.079 gaa, a 98.4% corsi for, 82.3% shooting average, and a +/- of 282 over 17 seasons. It hasn't even had its breakout season yet. Just you wait.

Full Rebuild time IMO. Keep the good young kids, some of the cheaper veterans for leadership, and trade the rest for draft picks and young talent. And for frank sakes focus on getting a good young goaltenders. Like priority #1. Q can help build and teach. Could be Blackhawks version 2.0...

Hey EK - my comment is a sidebar to this blog. I'm a CBJ backer, and I wonder what happened to the CBJ blogmeister, Paul Berthelot. Haven't seen anything from him in 3 months - even when the Jackets were leading the division.
I wanted throw out a suggestion that Jarmo make a play for Tarasenko. He could put together a package of roster player (one of Bjorkstrand/Anderson/Jenner or defenseman not named Jones/Werenski); prospect (Milano); draft choice (2019 first (which the Blues don't have).
However, the Blues would also have to include their 2019 2nd rd draft, as CBJ don't have one.

Keith and Quennville to Philly (e4) would sound a lot better if it turned out to be right as opposed to
