My point was I don't think his current contract makes it beyond jun 15 2019. I think at his current pace and role, he's an easy buyout candidate.

And I don't think any team touches his current contract with a ten foot pole.

- Sabresfan-365

I'd rather just bury him and tell him to stay home than buy him out, I don't want 4 more years of money allocated to him.

I am sorry, its difficult to have a debate with someone who clearly is ignorant.

Martin Necas one of the highest rated prospects in the NHL has 21 points in the AHL in 25 games. Nylander has 20 points.

BUST!!1!1

It is sad that you are not able to comprehend these things.

Regarding Patrik Berglund: He was partying with his Swedish friends for the last couple days while telling the #Sabres that he was sick with the flu. Finally the team had enough info and pulled the trigger to suspend him.

Is that actually a good source?

My god you poeple need to look at things in perspective. Olofsson is 3 years older than Nylander. He has 1 more goal and 2 more points. Also stop equating draft ranking to point output.
- sabresfan69

When drafting, do Gm's equate their player ranking to projected point output?

somehow, i doubt that. you've totally oversimplified the comparison in attempt to fit your narrative that nylander is useless.

The fact that he's not a try hard does not mean he's useless. nor does being outscored by a top euro FA and a winger 3 years older than him.

This doesn't guarantee Nylander having any success, but olofsson and Pilut's performance don't take away anything from Nylander's, who is 3rd in primary points among U-21 skaters in the AHL.

Right and he is 20 years old and has 20 points in 27 games.

Now before you post your next nonsense go look up how many points 1st round players have in the AHL at the age of 20. I am glad to wait for what you find.

His brother had 45 points in 38 games in 2015-16. Born 1996.

I only saw one game, on TV, and he looked terrible. I suppose that makes me a low information voter.

Let’s stop talking about nylander, and move on to the fact that Eklund broke the flyers coach firing and Quenneville hiring before anyone else.

If you add ek being correct and the Sabres being near the top of the conference, we have to be weeks from the apocalypse

No some, are tired of the lazy act. show some fire, go into the corner and win a puck battle, skate... he supposed to be fast... never see it... he’s a 1st round draft bust.
- gordong

He’s not a bust .

You have a very negative outlook on life he has 20 points and he’s one of the leading scores in Rochester and he’s having a career year you can’t give him any credit

Thats not what I said.

Teuvo Teravainen 6g in 25pts 39 AHL Games
Michael McLeod 5g 15pts in 28 AHL Games
Josh Ho-Sang 8g 31pts in 50 AHL Games
Martin Necas 7g 21pts in 25 AHL Games
Alex Tuch 18g 37pts in 57 AHL Games

All have in common? All 1st round picks. I could list another 20.

Like I said Nylander is on track just fine. You clearly just have no idea what you are talking about. You think Nylander should score 100 points in the AHL and thats just sad that you don't really understand the AHL or prospects. Its very clear by your posts.

Do yourself a favor, go here for some proper perspective.

No not everyone has cashed in, but there are about 10 of the top 16 making an impact already in the NHL, let alone the AHL.
