I don't know what's worse, listening to Jack Edwards or reading the crap that Gerbe posts.

I’m stuck watching nesn, I assume that’s what the NHL Network is using?

Yep, but I got the hockey package, thought since it was on NHL network it would be blacked out.

Do yourself a favor, go here for some proper perspective.
https://www.hockey-refere...draft/NHL_2016_entry.html

No not everyone has cashed in, but there are about 10 of the top 16 making an impact already in the NHL, let alone the AHL.

Right and he is 20 years old and has 20 points in 27 games.

Now before you post your next nonsense go look up how many points 1st round players have in the AHL at the age of 20. I am glad to wait for what you find.

- sabresfan69

I found something far more relevant, lol.

I already have the answer because I follow more than just points but thanks for proving you really dont.
- sabresfan69

Hehehe...haahaa, ahhhhaaahaa.
That was good.
Tell me what you think of those 16 18 year olds back in 2016 entry draft.
Only a few that standout.
Hint, Nylander is one of 5.
There's you answer.
Nice playing though.

Not everyone matures at the same rate. How many people wanted Shaq Lawson gone?(I was among them) He's finally playing well now that he's taking it more seriously. If you get to 4 or 5 years post draft and the guy still hasn't panned out, ok, he's very likely not going to, but people have no patience today whatsoever. Detroit used to make all their players play for at least 3 years in the AHL or Europe before they even got a sniff of the NHL.

Shaq lawson is a really good comparison to nylander

Shaq has 2 sacks this year
8 total nfl sacks in 3 years.
Early- mid 1st round picks

Were you defending nylander by comparing these 2?

Is that the only way to define a player? Sacks?

It's been talked about all over the place how much Shaq has matured this year, taken the game more seriously and has played much better.

Your the one that said he might be the best cb in the nfl... #1 corner should play like a #1
- gordong

U don’t think Tre White is a #1 CB?
He might not be Patrick Peterson
But he’s pretty damn good
Check out the WR stats against him
Even the best guys get beat from time to time

Ok, does free agent CJ smith both this year or last fit you parameters better??.... you want me to go find 70 players in the ahl that have more points than our 8th pick.. JFC.... Sam sucks but this bum gets excuses left and right unbelievable.
- gordong

you just listed three things ive never said. I dont even know what point you are making anymore and it's apparent that neither do you.

No, the significantly older CJ Smith does not a better comparison make. How about comparing him to people in his own age group...like I did when i said he was 3rd in primary points amongst all u-21 skaters in the AHL.

Fine, I'll use the "Living Legend" instead. He sucked, flat out sucked his first few years, got waived even, no one picked him up because he sucked so much, and then he matured some more and he took off.

Paul Hamilton: When asked why Skinner didn't play in overtime last night all Housley would say was it was his personal decision.

I was wondering what the hell happened
I thought maybe he got hurt & i missed it
That’s pretty weird

I only saw one game, on TV, and he looked terrible. I suppose that makes me a low information voter.
- Der Kaiser

The local guys who cover Rochester say hes taken a major step forward, and they were the guys most critical of him

He'll never give you work ethic, truculence or whatever the word du jour for that is today. But most wingers don't. You take the good with the bad.

If he can produce, I'll gladly take him here at 925k or whatever it is he makes.

Who cares. You don't know what you are talking about. Nylander having 20 points in 27 games is just fine for where he is at.

I am not going to continue arguing with you because you speak nonsense.

Teuvo Teravainen 6g in 25pts 39 AHL Games
Michael McLeod 5g 15pts in 28 AHL Games
Josh Ho-Sang 8g 31pts in 50 AHL Games
Martin Necas 7g 21pts in 25 AHL Games
Alex Tuch 18g 37pts in 57 AHL Games

All have in common? All 1st round picks. I could list another 20.
