Well seems it was the refs fault the Oilers lost last night....poor Conner, so hard done by, and it seems a hack reporting job also...https://edmontonjournal.c...mauling-of-connor-mcdavid

lol funny. We've played McJesus tough on more than one occasion. It is what it is.

Seahawks just beat GB, CAR and MIN in successive weeks and just lost to San Fran one of the worst teams in the NFL...

they're blaming the refs too...

I think its time to swallow my pride and do this eat-crow post, knowing full well you muppets will probably circle back to it for multiple posts of mine moving forward. As someone who has heavily critisized Benning and Green and FA a ton over the last 5 or 6 years, I can finally say that I truly believe they are in the right direction, doing the right thing, and getting us to a place on contention. Has Benning made some major muck ups along the way? absolutely. Has Green done questionable line changes and scratches in my opinion? absolutely. Has Benning made idiotic trades and free agent pickups? absolutely. But with all that criticism, deserves some major props. Gudbranson (who I despised) is making me eat crow, playing physical, responsible defensive hockey (still wish he didn't ice it all the time). Hutton has looked great. Leivo has been a great acquisition. Goldy is one of my favorite players. Our prospects and rookies have all been great surprises. Green has the team playing with high intensity and highly entertaining hockey. I know this is bold, considering the team still isn't in the playoffs, and are on a bit of a streak, but I have always thought that when credit is due, credit is due, and credit is due to a lot of people in the organization right now that I have thought were idiots before. /End.

Colts didn't even score vs Jacksonville. They blanked the Cowboys this week.

I miss the days where teams came to play weekly.

Poor Edmonton, blame it on the refs.
McDavid was up against a very good hockey player, in Bo Horvat, and lost the battle.

Pettersson was on for a couple last night actually. Im not worried about him though. Gudbranson was on for the one that McDavid blew by Edler, but im not going to rag on him for that. Lots went wrong on that play. Really hard to criticize the boys right now, they are playing some awesome hockey.

Don't be ridiculous, yes there's been a mix of good and bad but even the worst of General Managers will eventually produce a better team with constant bottom finishes. The Canucks are fun to watch because of three players, Horvat, who Benning inherited, Pettersson and Boeser. Five years in the making.

Great to see a positive post giving credit when deserved. But I also think the winning streak does have an effect with this thinking.

I am pleased with the winning streak, although I thought they played absolutely terrible in Columbus and Nashville and yet they won and lost in OT. Stuff happens but the effort in those games was hard to watch.

Two good test coming up, Tampa and Winnipeg, hopefully a good showing. They should beat St. Louis, I hope.

Saw games like this last time where they played hard for a couple then went on a huge losing streak.

I thought Jake had a pretty nice game last night.
He filled in on every line and held his own at both ends of the ice.
The kid is/will be a nice complimentary player on this roster, for years to come.

Have to find a way to sustain the level of play. An easier schedule with the christmas break and another 5 day break two weeks later will be good. Allow for rest.

hitchcock gave major props to the Canucks defense last night in a media scrum, then turned around and said Connor was held all night, given unnecessary whacks and hooks. I get what he is trying to do, but really, thats what happens when teams play your best player hard all night. IMO hes just blowing smoke, hoping the refs will pay more attention to it.

I have seen that tactic back fire, Refs don't like to be criticized. At least it didn't work for Burke when he stated Sedin isn't Swedish for grab and hook me, or something to that effect..LOL

I have very little issues with this years progress. The kids are learning what they can do. They are still 2-3 years from contending and that is why I don't mind Sutter sticking around. Leadership

Never did I say that none of those mentioned were void of any criticism, or that they can't be criticized moving forward. There are lots of trades and acquisitions that I don't care for, but with that, there are some that have worked out tremendously well. I don't think giving credit where its due is being ridiculous.
