Just saying maybe we don't all have to think the worst about this. They are in a bad situation with goalies right now and he's their best, healthiest, option.
- Dkos

Agree.

Maybe he comes in a plays like Mason did when he first came up with the Blue jackets.

We have to remember everyone develops differently. Maybe the challenge might brig the best out in him

My theory on this Quenneville mess is people close to Scott leaked Q was getting an offer he couldnt refuse before A. It was offered B. They had the Blackhawks permission.

I like how it's ok to send Stolarz and Lyon to the wolves but when it's Hart's turn...

I think it was more that this leaked before actually talking to Hakstol since he was still on the plane coming home I believe.

Just think someone jumped the gun.

Just hate the timing of this whole sh1t show. 20 yo Carter Hart is being asked to do the impossible. Not just play in his first NHL game ( after a brief pro audition) but to cure a fanbase and stabilize a sinking ship. I'm happy to see him get his chance. Just wish it was under better circumstances.

Look, I don't agree with this move but lets not pretend that this can ruin him. I think it could be a set back and temporary hit to his confidence but a large part of goaltending is mental. If this can ruin him then he wasn't going to be the guy we thought anyway.

They weren't viewed as potential future stars. Also, both of them had a good amount of AHL and some NHL experience.

No, I was also seriously angry about how judgmental folks were about Lyon as well. (You can find my lengthy tirade in yesterday’s comments.)

I like Stolie too, but thankfully I haven’t needed to defend him too much.

So you know even less about baseball than you do hockey?

So in other words you don’t think fatigue plays a part in injuries.

Heard of Justin Pogge? Was claimed to be the next Brodeur by most people in hockey. Was amazing for Canada at the WJC's just like Hart. Leafs called him up to early when they were a bad team lost 7 or 8 to nothing with him in net and shattered the kids confidence and they ruined him due to not waiting like you are supposed to with a goalies development. Not saying that can happen with Hart but it might the way this team is playing right now.

This made me laugh a lot...mostly people in hockey. I remember him quite well, no one said that but crazy Leafs fans.

Hart is more comparable to the hype of Carey Price...remember his first couple years he was a huge bust in Montreal then called the best goalie in the world and now currently the most overpriced goalie ever.

Of course it does. But a better analogy would have been a relief pitcher, who actually plays sometimes 3 or 4 games in a row......

I don't think anyone other than fans is putting this kind of pressure on Hart.
