Again, not defending Berglund, but Pegula is 100% fine with paying people to go away. And lawyers will do whatever they can to either A) save money for their client, or B) make their clients money. Having been up to my neck in lawyers and the health insurance industry for the last 14 years I know they'll spend $1,000 to go to bat for not paying $40. It takes them 2 years to come to an agreement on a couple hundred thousand dollar settlement, how hard do you think they'll fight for $10M+ regardless of what their client may or may not have done? Especially if it can set some sort of precedent?

Doubtful, but someone brought up Drouin earlier. It's more about how much a player is worth that dictates what actions a team will take more so than what the player has done.

We don't know what he's told the team at this point, and maybe more importantly, how he said it, so trying to make some determination of what the team may or may not do with any certainty is a bit premature.

truckulence...someone like one of the Tkachuk boys would be the profile.
I wouldn't mind them packaging 2 of their 1st rounder picks to move up and grab a kid in this years draft who fits that profile.
