Fletcher drove home the puck possession issues. Those two are the highest offenders.

Minnesota's one of the teams I see less than some in the West, but they've had coaches like Lemaire, Yeo and Boudreau. Not a lot of unforced turnovers, undisciplined play.

Thank God hakstol is out. Mayne now we can start seeing some of the kids get legit shots and not hold them to a perfect standard in order for them to get ice time.
I also hope we stop this whole "every player needs to be a 200 ft player" crap. We need snipers and pure goal scorers. Every winning team needs a guy who can bury pucks. So what if his D is lacking? That's how good coaches create successful lines. Hakstol failed miserably to do that outside of the Giroux/Coors success

Actually players who like or respect their coach will find a way to blame themselves and call it disappointing. I would love to know the exact quote, but if he said "we will be better in the long run without him" that means F off Hak.

I think I am more excited about not having pages after pages of MJL talk about why players don't get blamed for Hak doing an excellent job.

I can remember none other than Mike Richards having a similar reaction to Ken Hitchcock being let go.

Once a player starts tuning a guy out, time for the coach to go.

FWIW, they said things like, "Dave Hakstol is our coach," and "We have not fired Dave Hakstol." They were 100% true.

I was over Hak as the coach but treat the man with some respect. You're a pro sports team. I didn't think it was possible to rival the joke that the Sens had been for a while there but this franchise seems to be up for the challenge.

I'll go on record right now as 100% no on Gordon as head coach full time. Just don't like his time with the Isles. He can go back to Lehigh when new coach comes in
