Maybe they should sign you. The fact is, they are out of options, other than a trade...and the options out there besides him aren't that good.
I actually feel like the Flyers are going to kind of follow what Toronto did. I don't think Hart is here long. I see the Flyers getting a stopgap that could be here next year with Hart.
I could see them moving on from Simmonds and some other vets and possibly Voracek.
They will get Quenneville in the offseason and then kind of do a reshaping and start taking the steps next year.
Back before the season started, HB polled bloggers as to who had the worst forward group. The answer ruined my season - 2 out of 3 HB bloggers said Detroit. I already knew they had the worst goalie tandem (although Bernier isn't as atrocious as I expected), and the D is really really bad (we actually miss Brendan Smith - yikes). When 2/3 bloggers said they had the worst O too, I knew it was "lose for Hughes" time. So, Carter Hart will be just fine tonight!! I predict a 3-1 Philly Final Score. Carter Hart stops 26 of 27. Then rest him Thursday - he should not be put in for the Nashville game.
You are right that research is time consuming and can be frustrating. Here's a tip: Make up facts and present them as if they are true. If asked for references, just say the source requires anonymity and you can't break that trust. If challenged, just call these facts "rumours" and you won't have to be accountable for their accuracy. Probably can take 10 hours of actual work and get it done in 10 minutes. Something to think about.
