Interesting move, especially if Lehtera is unavailable Late December to appear in court. I just don't see him playing until that situation is resolved. Unless the Flyers are very confident with Jori. - Glak18
Lehtera is on the roster. Why would he be unavailable to play?

I think this has more to do with the health of the Phantoms than Varone. They've gotten decimated with injuries.

Sanheim is a beast.
Patrick and Jake were effective.
G-Tk is lovely
Ghost on the board, and looking more relaxed.
Hart did everything he needed to do and more.
Just an exhale of a game last night. The team we've watched for the last 3 weeks isn't the team I expect to see moving forward. - Giroux_Is_God
When Ghost is aggressive offensively like he was last night, he’s effective. I haven’t seen him play like that in awhile. Sanheim has easily been our most aggressive player in recent games.
Yes, we should move him to make our team weaker both physically and offensively. Especially if we get on a role. - SuperSchennBros
He’s honestly not the most physical player except for when he fights. He doesn’t strike fear to their players to keep their heads up when he’s on the ice imo. Also he’s been losing so many board battles lately it’s driving me crazy. Add that to the fact he blows defensively.. yes move simmer
Starter Hart looked good. Exciting times for Philly. Does Fletcher make a roster move before the freeze or do they ride Hart and Gordon into the holiday stretch? Gostisbehere acknowledged the positive fan energy in the building and attributed the call-up. Hopefully the team is able to hold some momentum and elevate their game back to expectation with a new voice behind the bench.
No reason this Flyer team should be outside the playoffs, let alone sporting a losing record. A Knights-esque turnaround may be around the corner. Vegas hit last place earlier this season and now sits in a Wild card spot. The Pacific and Metro have similar competitive landscapes and nobody is out of the running.
I thought Simmonds looked alright last night, but if you are going to be a bottom 10 team at the deadline then you have to move any UFA with serious value. Not doing so would be mismanagement.
Going forward JVR and Patrick can replace him on PP1, and at ES they need to start giving the younger guys more of a chance. If they don't cut it, move on to the next young forward. Don't wait till NAK loses his waiver exemption to see if had can be a top 9 wing - do it this season. Then make sure you get Allison and Laczynski signed in March/April.

Agree and looking to stay out of the "they are allowed to activate vs. not activate" banter going on. What I think I SEE is less indecision on the defensemen's carrying the puck.
What i mean (and saw) was it didn't look like they were thinking what if, they buried their head and got their arse up ice quickly.....it had seemed lately that there was a slight pause, hesitancy or whatnot and often that lead to issues. What is the root cause of them doing that is not my call to make.
Watching the clip of Gritty take out those Santa goalies and realized that he has some good wheels. I think the next between periods entertainment should be Gritty vs. Lehtera, goal line to goal line. Before he ends up in Finish prison.

It's only a matter of time before Gritty injures someone.
It was a nice win over a struggling Detroit team. Tomorrow will be a good test to see if this team will keep moving forward. - Streit2ThePoint
Yup. I'm not getting too hard over last night but the bottom line is there was many more positives than negatives last night and as long as that keeps up I'll be fine.
I've said it a few times. The playoffs aren't happening. Let's see growth from Sanheim, get Prov and Ghost their confidence back, see Patrick and JVR improve, etc. This is still a development year
