If Buffalo ain't including one of those guys for Coots the Flyers probably aren't listening. Coots is what this team is going to be built around along with Patrick, Provorov, and Hart.

They're 5 points out with a game in hand so I dunno if they really wanna give up this early, especially now that they're getting Ferland and Staal back in the lineup.

I would suspect they probably want to resign Ferland. Guys with his skillset are pretty hard to find.

Couturier is part of the solution in Philadelphia, not part of the problem. You're not going to pry him away unless you significantly overpay. Philly would be more likely to trade Giroux before they traded Couturier.

I'm not going to pretend that I know enough about the Flyers or Sabres prospect system to accurately come up with what would be fair trade value, but assuming Eichel and Dahlin are untouchable, it would probably be Middlestat, Pilut, and a 1st round pick.

Both Eichel and Dahlin are orders of magnitude more valuable than Couturier.

But yes, I'm not sure if the Sabres have anything after those two that would interest the Flyers...

It doesn't assume anything beyond Ferland being a very affordable rental. He can sign with any team on July 1st.

If you're presuming that him being traded to another team necessarily means that team will look to lock him up I think that's a pretty big assumption.

I would argue that Carolina is not in any position to know if they should be adding or subtracting at this point. That will be determined closer to the TDL.
