What the hell does your post even mean?
Games are won on production.
Likeability is nice but means 0, zip, nada.
Im confused, by your point then.
Is it that the team was mentally fragile that they fold their collective tent when 1 player was moved, therefore one could foresee the unfolding this year even though they got a guy who has produced 160 the rate of the beloved player traded.? - IonSabres
And yet Reinhart takes so much poop.
That's not what I said. I said it started then. Publicly questioning management is a good thing then? They got off to a bad start and things spiraled. Who really knows if ROR is part of that? |

How much of it is the players themselves talking though? That happened after the Statsny trade. - Wetbandit1
It's all conjecture regarding Steen vs. Pietrangelo
There's an article where Steen said something to the media and Pietrangelo says "we'll you'll have to ask him about that." Just generally pissy-ness |

Dahlin is going to be $8 million at the very least.
Sam is going to get close to what Skinner gets this year if he keeps up his production.
Mitts probably gets a Sam like deal for 2 years and then jumps up higher.
Plus McCabe, Pilut, Ullmark. - Stripes77
And...
Cap up 6mil over the next 2 years
- Bogo 5.1
- Pommer 5.6
- Sobotka 3.5
- Berglund 3.8
- Scandella 4.0
- Beaulieu 2.4
- Hunwick 2.3
That’s roughly 34.7mil in room
(Going by you numbers below)
-Dahlin raise 7.0
-Sam raise 2.0
-Mitts raise 2.5
Let’s say we kept ROR, -7.5mil
That’s still about 15.5mil for raises to McCabe, Pilut & Ullmark
And bringing up guys making around 1mil like Nylander, Olofsson, Smith, Guhle
Like i said... we gots the room
Plus, we can hopefully get rid of Okposo at some point for even more room

U hit it in the head saying correlation doesn’t equal causation though
J Bo isn’t what he used to be
Pietrangelo is struggling by his standards
Even Tarasenko is having a bad year
And worse goaltending too
But somehow it’s all RORs fault?
That’s just laughable - jdfitz77
What’s weird is he’s struggling to score 5 on 5......that’s with who at center? |

Your numbers are off
You don’t have a new Skinner deal in there
Sam will go from $3 million to $8 million if he keeps producing.
Even with those numbers you better hit on your picks to play on their ELCs which is another reason the ROR trade needed to happen.
A young prospect in the NHL and a 1st round pick.
The cupboard was pretty bare thanks to Murray. It had to be restocked. |

Ok?, agreed, but not sure what that has to do anything
I'm confused.
You dismiss ROR as a link to their issues by stating one is confusing correlation (ROR being on the 3rd of 3 NHL teams with major personnel and performance issues he has been on) with causation.
But then you try to correlate part of the cause to Stastny leaving, who has been outplayed by his replacement (points above replacement) by 60%....has Stasny been in Blues practices causing the strife?
Seriously, wtf? |

LOL not a PP goal....
3-0 Tennyson with 3 points now 1g 2a. guess he's feeling a rush after playing in the NHL for a couple games. |

Is that RORs fault?
Because 77% of his goals are 5v5
MUCH better than last year
So tell me...
how is ROR doing 5v5?

Regressing back to his career norm since about game 15?
He hasn’t scored a 5 on 5 goal in like a month and is 102nd in the league in primary assists (which is decent, not great, not bad)
He has the same amount of secondary assists as primary. He’s been fine, but not driving offeNSe by any means

If Sam is getting 8mil, then he should absolutely be traded
*unless he’s earning it away from Jack
I did forget the Skinner raise though
So make it 13mil for raises to McCabe, Pilut & Ullmark, plus the kids coming up from Rochester...
who we will be depending on whether or not we kept ROR
Actually... without ROR we will be depending on them even more now |

And tbh not even my biggest gripe with Sam.

Well instead of reframing it (like u always do) and breaking it down to sample sizes that fit your argument,
Let’s just use the entire season so far
His 5v5 numbers are way up
Just like i said they’d be
True or false?

Sure. And in another 10-15 games I can come back and show you how pedestrian they are again, right? Because it’s trending that way since actually game 10 |
