He potted 2 last night though. He's on pace to have the same season as Dylan Strome did last year, and he is at a point per game pace like Kyrou is for the Blues this year. Tales of him being NOT READY are greatly exaggerated imo - jcragcrumple
When they have the Rochester Coach has nothing but great things to say about him but says he needs to work on his overall game every time |

I just think with him being injured he will miss his chance which sucks but you Just have to keep moving forward - gerbe75pts
I like Nylander and I want him to be successful but right now... in my mind... I view him as just a bargaining chip to throw into a trade for a vet/experienced top 6 winger. I think he will be an Armia or Nichushkin.
Trade him while the name is still hot. |

Not to really wanna go "there" but that's not how addiction works. Seen and faced plenty of it in family/friends. |

Never said he wasn't ready, because I don't know. What I do know, is that he's not in a Sabres sweater, which tells me.. he's not ready. |

It wouldn’t surprise me if he gets the call because they need offense bad and his speed would work great tomorrow |

Corey Pronman's take on Samuelsson, as he does a run down on all USA players.
Mattias Samuelsson, D, Buffalo (Western Michigan-NCHC)
Samuelsson looks solid at WMU this season and is producing offense despite not getting much power play time. His game is steady. His passes are crisp. He moves well for a guy his size and positions himself well. He’s also a massive defenseman who isn’t afraid to lean into his checks. Even as an 18-year-old, Samuelsson could provide solid defensive minutes for USA. |

I mean.... Gordon himself has had years with all the money and professional resources of the NFL to get clean... No.. I don't feel bad for him personally. But my only point was just being a grown ass man/adult doesn't mean it's a cake walk.
Any way... hope all is well out in the desert. |

Have you watched Rochester ? Olofsson (who I like btw) is not an impact guy there.
He’s a shooter/PP specialist.
Smith or Bailey are well ahead in terms of call-up IMO. |

yup, leads all forwards in goals, points and assists. Also, we could desperately use both a shooter, and a PP specialist |

He had a great start, disappeared and finally had a decent game again last night.
Read anyone who covers them, or watch them.
Smith and Bailey play a better game to be here on lines 2-4 and can add speed.
Olofsson won’t sniff Jack’s line or the PP on a injury call up. |

That's an indictment of stupid hockey culture, not the player. You bring the guy up to score goals and play on the PP. I wouldn't put him on Eichel's wing though |

Corey Pronman's take on Samuelsson, as he does a run down on all USA players. - TheSabresTaco
Samuelsson is going to be a great #4 d-man for us for a long time. Laaksonen would go early in the 2nd round if we did a redraft and looks like a solid pick when nobody knew who the guy was when he was drafted. Pekar is producing at a point a game in the OHL as a 4th rounder and has already signed an ELC. Bryson was an overager when he was drafted but he looks like he can be part of our long-term plans. Pilut was being persued by Greely long before he put up the big season that got him a contract from us. I think they are developing guys like Nylander, Asplund, and Oloffsson properly as well to ensure they have the best chance for success in the Blue and Gold.
Think of what this amatuer staff can do with four first rounders. Im beyond excited for the future of this team. |
