Cap friendly has since elaborated on that point. All of the people reporting that it is mutual were citing cap friendly, but their 4 part tweet elaboration has since muddied the water in terms of what "mutual" means - jcragcrumple
Gotcha i knew the original report was from Cap Friendly, but since CBS, USA Today and the Buffalo News all reported things similar. That the two sides spoke over a few days and decided this was the best route. Then with the Patrik Zetterberg article coming out saying the welcome him with open arms back to the Swedish team i figured it was all but a formality. |

Sure, maybe do some research into it to improve your opinion on the matter. You also first started out saying you are weak if you have an addiction and are rich as moved slightly to saying well you should at least try to help yourself. So you are learning. |

Mitts is doomed. He has no help. Thompson is the only player that can play to Mitts level but he is not ready. I wish Botts and Housley would give Nylander a shot on Mitts wing. |

You believe in participation trophies don't you?
I don't think anyone is weak if they get addicted to something, It happens to the strongest of people, however I think they are weak if they don't at least try to fix the problem.
again just referring to Gordon, I don't think he has really put in any effort to change.... - hehateme
It’s so much more complicated than you know.
And that’s a good thing. You’d know if you were close to it |

Sorry but being flippant is worse than anything. He wasn't being serious, he was being flippant. Just ask him. |

This is what annoys me about this guy posting people are weak that have addictions. It is really ignorant but everyone is entitled to their opinion. I know people who have died from addiction. |

It all sounds very promising. Once I hear that lawyers are not getting involved, then I'll feel better. There's still an ominous silence |

having a debate about addiction = kicking someone.
I would say people who approach a message board in that manner are weak minded much more than addiction.
Isn't perspective wonderful. |

Haven't heard a word from either yet. So they've had ample time to respond. It's been 6 days.

Unpopular opinion:
You talk about trauma being the root cause of a lot of addictions, but it's pretty well understood that most people suffer some traumatic experience before they are adults. Some people pick up the bottle of pills, others don't. I can feel empathy for those who suffer from addiction, as I have with cigarettes and understand what a goober addiction really is. However, if we all experience trauma (to some degree) and some people choose to not resort to drugs...there is a strength there that the addicts lacked, at least at the time of their initial usage.
I am not going to call addicts weak. All I am saying is that there is some onus on the addict to both seek help, but also that they do hold some of the blame for their decision to use.
Hopefully that sounds a bit more fair. I think I understand where both are coming from to be honest. There is an argument to be made that millionaires, of all people, should have the ability and resources to get clean. Josh Gordon had multiple opportunities and yet he let it ruin his career. I don't pity him. I pity the guy on the corner that broke his arm, ran out of oxycodone and starting using H in it's place. That seems like more of a trap than drinking or weed will ever be. |

Honestly at this point I think they should put the kid on a wing and let him gain some confidence it might be fun to watch Mitts with Jack and Jeff...
or put Sam and Mitts together on a line (sam at center) I think mitts is so worried about playing defense that he's not really showing what he can do in the offensive zone... But who know I could be totally wrong, pure speculation on my part.
