I’m not gonna argue that general statement. Just saying that I don’t think he’s back to being the Matt Murray that lead us to two Cups and is capable of stealing games yet. There’s still chinks there and DeSmith has played pretty well. I’d still take the ease him back in approach after tonight. - Victoro311
Completely agree, but based on tonight's game and tonight's game only, he played a good game. |

Not sure the pens block that many shots the rest of the year and look that good insulting him..if he plays that exact way the rest of the year we don't make the playoffs. |

You know, for as much as this town latches on to guys like Dupuis, Batch, Cullen, and a bunch of other guys that are certainly important but not necessarily all that great, I think Letang might be the most underappriciated Pittsburgh sports athlete. |

Depends on how we can get our offense going. I think Murray’s general performance tonight averages out around 3 goals against if he plays like this every game. |

They deserved this game. The frustrating part is if they play like this against Chicago and Anaheim that’s four banked points |

That's because 90% of the city wears fluorescent orange and Real Tree Camo as a fashion statement, they relate with those mediocre shlubs. |

Like, I get that, but I feel like Letang should be the quitesential Pittsburgh athlete with the way he plays with complete heart and fire and is still uber talented, but for some reason he’s just not. He’s one of the city’s first scape goats. |

Oh you're not wrong. Letang's 58 should be up in the rafters next to 87 and 71 one day. |

Honestly I feel like people don’t realize that he plays half the game. So when you see him mess up twice and they are big you remember that more than the other half the game he shut down the other teams top lines. |

I still think that should be the statue outside PPG. This shouldn’t just be the Crosby Era. At the very least the statue should be Sid and Geno lifting a cup, but I’d absolutely love if the statue was Sid, Geno, and Letang doing one of those goal celebration hugs. |

Where's that dude who went on and on about how Wilson was scared to fight Oleksiak last year. |

Seriously. The dude's idea of a down season last year was still as a top 20 defenseman. What more do you want from a guy that routinely murders his body on a game to game basis? |
