I was against everyone of those moves the moment they happened..and was very vocal about them all.
There were 30 teams in the league when maf helped this team to 4 finals and 3 championships within a decade...he may have had some awful moments..but he deserved a lot more than what he got. MM was not even get a number one goalie. He had a sniff of NHL hockey and absolutely NEEDED MAF to get those championship rings he has. - taleisyreXIII
I don't want to poop on MAF but he isnt Patrick Roy, his career statistics are hardly above average. And for all those years he has had Crosby and Malkin covering up his average stats. |

If MAF played for us last year like he did for Vegas...the pens are still the Stanley Cup champs. I don't know how anyone can slag MAF any longer. This team has routinely left goalies out to dry and MAF was the best we have had here to minimize the damage. He had bad year or two....where he was brutally left out to dry and or players like Sid and Geno were out for long long stretches. The last two years we have seen what average to below average tending with someone other than MAF looks like and it's gross. |

Especially in 2016, when he helped the Pens win with his ZERO playoff wins. |

The pens have always been known to abandon defence in favour of offence...MAF won us almost every shootout ensuring points in the standings. He routinely faced a breakaway or two seemingly nightly...this still happens. MM stats are so bad he should be in Wheeling. But ppl here want him to earn his net back...while saying MAF is garbage...brutal. |

He singlehandedly got the pens into the playoffs...without him they are not even in...there is a season played b4 the playoffs. |

Really? To have done that they would have had to beat Washington. He played against Washington in the Final, and they whooped his behind. So, please explain to me how he would have beaten Washington in the second round, when that same team put up 4+ goals a game against him and his save % was in the .850s in five games. |

All by himself, he put the Pens in the playoffs. Then I guess all by himself he was the reason they were Playoff failures the previous six years. |

You go on thinking that Golden Child would have beaten Washington last year, when he had the chance and failed. |

All I heard last year was it was MM fault they last to the Caps and if Golden Child was there they would have won. Then two series later, playing against that same Caps team, he fails and his stats were a lot worse than MM. |

Small sample size isn't good for stats..how about full season...MAF didn't have the other 25 men infront of him Murray did. |

Well you go on loving your Golden Child, the guy who SUCKED for so many, many playoff years (2010, 2012 and 2013) come to mind. Then, he gets hurt and the team immediately wins the Cup. |

There record was better than the Penguins and theyh made it further in the playoffs, so it could easily be argued that his 25 men were better than our 25 men... |

Go on believing that Matt Murray is the reason! |
