He's meeting expectations imo. Unlike in NY, he's got fewer mins and worse linemates (outside of a dismal few mins with sid). I'm not sure I expect the same box score contributions given his role. He's more a perimeter dude anyhow.

IMO Brass has talent but is not what the Pens need and will not be re-signed so Id ship him out. No clue who they can get to replace him though.

I think Brass had one of his better games as a Penguin last night. Sheahan has been playing well for 2 or 3 weeks now.

My problem with Brassard is he announced he didn't want the 3C role last season and he proceeds to play like he doesn't want the role for the bulk of this season. I'd rather have a player that's fully invested in being on the team than a guy that isn't. I'm also not in favor of letting players walk for nothing.

People talking about JR's bad moves... Yeah he's made a few, but both Cole and Sprong would still be on the roster if not for Sullivan. Cole was an UFA, but I imagine JR would have tried to keep him instead of signing JJ.
