Really? They've been awful all year. Very winnable game, and I'm all for us losing to get that high pick
- neem55

I agree. I'm going to the game tonight thinking I'm going to see a win. Blues need a win badly, canucks just coming off an emotional game, teams evenly matched, has all the makings of a good one.

It's very possible, his parents immigrated and I'm pretty sure he's first gen immigrant.

lol imagine being a fan of one of the worst teams (statistically) in the league over the last 4 or 5 years, and being disgruntled at anything less than a win. I am never happy when they lose a barn burner, or play awful hockey, but seeing progression from being a bad team is what you can hope for as they start to make their way out of the basement. People shouldn't leave their bar of expectations at the ground, but i don't see the harm in acknowledging progression.

Well said Codes.
It is almost like some expect the team too be in the basement, get lots of top picks, then suddenly become contenders, with little to no progress in between this process.

people just like to find things to complain about. Matheson slammed Petey, and 90% of the people in here complained over the push-back. Stecher gets hit, the entire team rallies, and people are disgruntled about the loss and start barking over "moral victories".

TBH - I still don't really care if they win or lose. Obviously, whether people want to admit it, but tanking for a better draft positions works, its how we got Petey. I am all for progression of the team, we have no where to go but up as we have been one of the worst teams in the league. If we lose and get a good draft pick, I would be ecstatic.

And as far as the fist bump. I have no problem with it. Martel got jumped by two huge players and has only played a few games in the NHL. I would fist bump him too tbh

The thing is, getting better one player at a time still leaves you with a bad team. We've been bottom 5 the last three years without progress, pretty hard to not expect the same result at this point, I'm not convinced this team finishes higher than last year. When push comes to shove, wins are harder to come by after January and everyone is competing for a spot. Bit of a pattern that we've played well Oct-December the last few years.

Don't know yet. Probably, jeans, white T, hoodie, and runners. Something comfortable so if I spill beer on myself it won't matter. Might wear a canuck cap; white or blue.

You going?

Ya I’ll be there. I’ll likely be in a light grey suit with white shirt...and I’ll be accompanied by a very young blond babe. I’ll almost certainly spill beer on myself but I’ll drop my clothes off at the dry cleaner in the am

I have a point to make without specifically responding to any post.

1st off why does everything have to be vanilla ice cream and "Kum ba yah". If a person wants to post their observations, then post away.

Everyone sees the game in their own context, does that mean they are complaining, b!tching, whining. To me it means they had an observation and decided to post that observation as either a discussion point or to just put it out there for thought.

Now we have posters complaining about complainers,,,

Players should be sticking up for teammates, period. So to have it happen and folks are like woo hoo, it happened be happy don't anyone dare criticize our boys anymore.

It's not always sunshine and rainbows, observations can be glowing with praise or critical in nature.

Moral victories...

Ya I realized that in the Colorado game when I was literally yelling when EP didn't get the penalty shot in OT. I was like: "poop, I actually care again"
- neem55

Agreed. If we are yelling at the tv again we are all headed in the right direction.
