Nash did garner a first but he was the only one. Skinner could get back a 1st, not saying it’s impossible, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a team’s top prospect and a few draft picks 2nd round and beyond. This years draft is supposedly deeper then last years. But Skinner could be the rental that garners a first like Nash did last year.

Kane was conditioned on him signing so I wouldn’t count that in the rental market. Only Stastny and Nash got 1st rounders. Both were acquired by teams that were cup contenders. Winnipeg, Nashville, Calgary, Toronto, Tampa, Boston, SJS (2021 is earliest) could cough up a first rounder for Skinner. If Botts decides to not deal with Toronto, Tampa, Boston then you would have four teams in a bidding war if any of them would want Skinner.
