And it's not exactly true about the 90 days, that's for offseason testing I believe. Eric Reid has been "randomly" tested 6 times in 11 weeks. A 1-588 chance of happening randomly. They takes 10 players per team per week.

He could have just plugged away with a minimum amount of effort to make his annual salary and score 20 points. It just doesn't make sense why he threw it away.
