Lots of Edler talk from media speculation. I don't think he will waive. When Murph mentioned the other night about most games by a Dman between periods it was the first time I ever seen him smile.

I honestly don't care what he does . As great as a first round pick would be I would not be ill will if he stayed cheap for a little longer . The key word is cheap.

I do believe he would be missed in the beginning but we would get use to it. I do hope they find a better answer but understand if Canucks play it safe.

I think they will move on from Sutter and grow Gaudette. Very nice draft pick and I am sure his point stats will grow.

John Shannon says there is quite a bit of buzz of the Canucks in the East. People want to get a glimpse of the team and mostly Petey. Finally we are being looked at in a positive way. Not bad for a team picked dead last .

I look forward to the Canucks and their fans being hated by most of the league, again.

I think who ever came up with 3 years from being three years away was brilliant.Might be bang on.

Sure mark it down . I think we will be a top 10 team in three years.

Petey and Boeser have elevated our status which is great to see regardless of wins/losses.

Horvat is flying under the radar of the Petey/Boeser buzz as maybe the most important player on the team...glue guy.

I get Edler's impact to the club currently and the +/- he brings to the club. But (to me) it's time to move on. I like Sutter but he also needs to be shopped at TDL. If we can get some serious value for Edler/Sutter this year and then move Tanev next year before his next major injury we will be sitting great IMO.

I am okay either way.
I understand the want of more prospects and picks , but I also understand the teams thinking of winning.

I unlike most fans think Canucks are in a very good spot in all spots. I am perfectly fine with all 7 draft picks only every year.

Next year Hughes is a shoe in . Hutton is very young still and maturing. I think he will get better with age. So it is really one spot to fill on the left.

On the right Woo looks like a good pick . Much to everyone's hate I think Tryamkin will be back next year. I do like Guddy unlike most . I think Tanevs game is getting better now that he is chipping in on scoring.

Markstrom has been solid most of the year.

I think most of the problems from the past are getting better.

Too lazy to find the book.
I don't think they need 3 more years. It would depend on where they end up this season. Need another elite forward.

Horvat, Boeser, Pettersson. Need one more elite forward and can find two complimentary pieces somewhere. Have a few of them already in Goldobin, Virtanen, Leivo.

Progression of young players. Gaudette mainly, valuable experience this year. Even the defence is still growing. Gudbranson and Hutton have never played this well.

Obviously one of the biggest things we need other then some elite players is some better 7-8 D. Biega still signed but a LHD that is better then DP or at least more experienced.

One name no one has really mentioned for a trade deadline piece is Schaller. Teams are always looking for cheap depth for playoff runs. Probably get a 5th or 6th round pick for him.

Give's the scouting staff another chance at not picking a halfling in the later rounds.

I would keep Sven unless someone gave a pretty good offer. Like to the tune of 2- 2nd round picks.

Sven is better than Goldy IMO but I still hope they upgrade on both of them .

I think goldy will be gone and Sven stays. Pretty cheap and he’s shown good signs with BO. He could be the third guy on a line with Bo and another sick winger.

Goldy is a cheap contract and an RFA. His value is probably higher than Sven's right now.

I look at Sven as a second line winger on a bad team and a third line player on a good team. I have always thought of him as a third line player and with his contract I think I want to move him

Svens a waterhead now... smashed his pumpkin. Little bump has kept him out two months , next one has a good chance of ending his career. I'd be moving him out

Somewhere in between the bottom of the 2nd line player to a top of the 3rd line player. He was on pace for the same as Goldy 50 some points.

The boy can't stay healthy though.

Hope you're right

Anyone who gets mad at Edler for not waiving is a jackass

I don't think his contract (if they offer one) will be cheap, Jim seems like a market value (or above) kind of guy. I just hope it's 2 years (or less).

I think he likes it here and feels like he is one of the leaders.

I think the trade talk will be .

Jim : Do you want a trade
Alex :Do you want to trade me?
Jim :No
Alex :No
Jim :OK
Alex OK.
