If you stayed at Orange Julius you would have a pretty decent pension by now. You continue to do nothing but disappoint me. - Marwood
Haha my actual job pension matches, seems like an unheard employer thing these days. |

Sounds like someone is coming around.
if North Nuck shows some love for Guddy, i'd say it was a Xmas miracle. - dbot
I’ve always liked the idea of having EG, but his mind lay has been bad. Prefer him to Hutton. |

He does have an NTC but there's nothing stopping them from negotiating with him and trying to convince him to move on.
They mishandled the Hamhuis situation by waiting too long to get him to waive. Can't afford to do the same thing here if they hope to be a legitimate contender within Benning's tenure. Getting value for Edler could be a very important consideration for Benning's job security. - YeOldTimer
Couldn’t disagree more. It would be great if he could trade him. A full NTC though? What’s JB supposed to do?! His job is safe, as he continues to show he’s getting better |

The more I hear Edler waive and re sign in the summer the crazier it sounds. How many of you would volunteer to be away from your family for three months no extra money , in fact it would cost you more . |

Hes already gone on record saying he wants to stay, liked what he sees and wants to continue growing with the young kids. These "Benning should force him and get assets now" statements are a bit ludicrous. |

If he's not in their plans... and judging by the fact that according to Edler there have been no talks , then wether or not he wants to stay could have been already decided for him. All that's left now is do you want to pick a landing spot for a cup run or go in dry on July 1st |

I'd rather let him walk than offer him 5-6 mil a yr on a multi year deal. |

You were arguing we should acquire assets for him. I was arguing he has a full ntc. I dont want him signed long term, but im simply pointing out that you cant force him into anything. You either let him walk or re-sign once the season is done |

Edler would be a valuable 3-4 dman for a cup run team that has an injury or wants to add some depth at TDL. I'd like to see him get one more shot at a cup then if he signs back here to help the kids on the cheap all good. Edler would never get 5-6 mil on a new contract anyways. |

Lots of no trade clauses can and have been traded. If they want to be Richards they could try and pressure him out. May or may not work who knows. At this point if they want to move on then try you're best to get something for him... or let him walk. Either way it's best option moving forward. |

Its hard to pressure him into a less than favourable position for him when we have a weak D and he plays top minutes. For all we know benning has already asked and inquired with edler. Either way, hes more than likely not going anywhere and we will probably find out in the summer or late this year what management wants to do with him |

mayor wrongsville wrong a 3 yr deal at 5-6 is perfect for the team going forward, and who would you replace him with if not? |

It is good to see the team competing, I will say as of today I’m pleasantly surprised. I have always stated that I would wait for the new year before evaluating the talent, coach and GM. Well almost new year and I think this team is better Thani have thought they would be.
I think Edler will be extended, with Joulevi out long term it has changed the landscape, and I’m not sure how many will be upset but it won’t be 3x3.
Sutter I can see being moved a TDL, I think a first is overpriced but go for the best deal possible.
And just to be controversial.....Gudbranson is a good defender and glad he is on the team. - Makita

Fair points... I'd be pretty pissed if jb hasn't been laying the groundwork for a move all season. If you're moving on Give Edler lots of time to digest his options |

I don't know what he is thinking but I bet it is something like I like it here and want to play for one team only and be part of the process here. |
