7 I believe.
Where is the net gain on anything he does?
And this isn’t singling him out it’s an entire team issue outside the top line
He doesn’t score, he doesn’t play responsible hockey, I just don’t see a long term fit - sbroads24
I’m ready to at least try him at 3C though
Didn’t he look better last year when playing Center?
I know E Rod hasn’t earned it,
but we don’t have many options left
I’m absolutely done with Sobotka at 3C
Put him on line4 & i won’t hate that he doesn’t score at all so much
Sobatka-Larsson-Girgs
Sheary/Thompson-Mitts-Pommer/Okposo
Thompson/Sheary-E Rod-Okposo/Pommer
And if that doesn’t work...
then we gotta try Sam at Center again |

you left a few off the list I think - homiedclown
Sheary isn't a problem but isnt a solution. Mitts and Thompson need to produce more but I think it will come. Elie is gone in a couple of weeks once Wilson is healthy. |

Plenty of room to maneuver,
But i don’t wanna see us making moves unless it’s for help beyond this year
Thankfully, Botts pretty much said as much
We don’t need any rentals here unless they’re dirt cheap
And those guys probably don’t help much,
if at all |

Berglund coming off the books helps. I could be wrong but I don't believe current cap space includes guys on IR ? If not then we have more space then I thought. |

including sheary for the right price |

I can't even imagine how terrible the bottom 9 would look without Sheary and ERod. Everyone else has average NHL speed at best. We'd be watching Risto get stuck making failed breakout passes again |

I’m fine with trying him there.
Sobotka is a 4th liner at this point. |

I bet Sheary & Okposo (maybe Thompson too) would score with Jack
But can Skinner & Sam score with Mitts? |

Cap Friendly as of December 20th: "Having cleared unconditional waivers, Patrik Berglund's contract has now been terminated by the Buffalo #Sabres.
Berglund is now an unrestricted free agent free to sign with any club he chooses.
Sabres now have $2,435,913 in projected cap space with a roster of 22" (13F/7D/2G)
And with Berglund coming off the books saved us $2.2M this year so at one point we did have 200K of cap space so suck it |

I'd give Jack Tage and Nylander for5 or 6 games
put skinner and skunk with casey
but if that second line produces it would probably be all because of skinner

so at one point we did have 200K of cap space so suck it - Pegullaville
but that was in the past
like when kane, myers and armia graced us with their uniforms and ror showed us it's ok to get paid and then crash into a tim horton's drunk |

If that 2nd line produces we are going to scare a lot of teams come playoff time. Jack will produce no matter what. |

Berglund's buyout was not even a week ago. We had $200K in cap space a week and a half ago. None of the other players mentioned had an impact on our 2018 cap. |

Unless it’s Okposo,
Idk that any “sale” we make is gonna have much impact?
And he only would bc we’d get the Cap space,
Bc he isn’t gonna bring back anything of value
We’d be lucky if some sucker doesn’t make us ADD to move him
Scandella & Beaulieu can probably be moved for decent picks
Sheary i might hang onto still
But if he’s part of a package to get someone that’ll be around for a while,
then of course I’d do that |

from the current roster
how many players do you keep for next year if you could make a bunch go away
IMO it's 5
jack, skinner, skunk, tage and casey
I could care less about every other forward
they are all blah, soft and unable to score |
