Merry Christmas, Mr. Pachla
Housley deserves some credit for turning this D group around. Like you said, Pilut needs to stay. Risto is a gott dang beast out there. Bogo is not worth $5.3m, but is probably worth at least $4m. He is definitely a good leader. I want to watch him punch someone's face in.
Also, Bogo, if you're reading this, have the Sabres get you a visor for Christmas |

He also has taken the second most penalties of any forward besides Okposo, with less ice time.
Penalties are stupid plays
Yes, he's taken 8 penalties
How many penalties has Erod drawn? More than a few, methinks |

6 penalties taken to 5 drawn 5v5 for Erod while angry Larry is 7 taken and 3 drawn. |

7 I believe.
Where is the net gain on anything he does?
And this isn’t singling him out it’s an entire team issue outside the top line
He doesn’t score, he doesn’t play responsible hockey, I just don’t see a long term fit |

If his comparison is Larsson than we should all agree he has no long term future here |

See above. For all situations, Erod is 8 taken versus 10 drawn and Larry is 7 versus 6, not including a 10 minute misconduct. |

He's fast and he gets more points than any other "4th liner." And he can individually accomplish zone exits, which puts him in rarified air amongst Sabre forwards |

I'm not ready to toss him to the scrap heap after what he produced last year in 48 games. |

Not old enough to know of him when he played but the stats don't lie and what he did for the defense in Carolina was top notch. Most underrated addition of the offseason. |

Good to see the Sabres still in playoff position, but we'll see where this team really stands when we're closer to Canadian Christmas |

Erod has disappointed me this year, but he still isn't even close to the problem that Okposo is. Thompson and Mittelstadt show glimpses of being really solid top 6 players in a few years even if it's taking them a while to figure it out. Scandella helps on the PK but is useless in every other fashion of the game.
Okposo, Scandella, Hunwick, Pominville, Sobotka are the biggest issues with this team right now. |

I’m not tossing him either, but he hasn’t been a good player this year, and if it comes down to him or Nylander/Smith/Olofsson next season it’s an easy choice |

Moulsons cap hit making us unable to make any in-season moves is up there too with biggest problem this team has right now. We only have like 200K in Cap Space. Hence why callups are the only answer for us the rest of the season. |

I don’t have an issue with Erod, but the list of forwards he outranks end at Okposo and Elie for me. Wilson probably too |
