Yeah, last year, he said he was going to mull it over and then decided he was going to come back for one more year. His decision is made. Good on him. He deserves it. - buffalofan19
That's a good point. I forgot that he left it open last year after the season ended.
This does sound different.
Still has to be difficult for such a competitor and leader |

I agree, but kyle is such a competitor.
When he gets a chance to rest and reflect, who knows?
I imagine McDermott is gonna try and convince him to stay. Or maybe not... - Boss34
Listening to McDermott's press conference makes me believe there is less than a 1% chance Kyle comes back to play.
He is retiring to spend more time with his family
He has earned it. Kyle Williams the man is much bigger than football. You can tell in any of those beyond blue and red that his family is the most important thing to him.
He is done and while I am sad to see him go, he deserves to go out on his own terms. |

We have less then $3M in cap space and we aren't one player away from winning the cup. I really don't know what people expected. I just hope we get Skinner signed around the $8M a year mark and get rid of Scandella and Elie. In the offseason look for takers for Hunwick, Sobotka, Okposo. |

I'd hope they call up CJ Smith. I can understand why they want Rochester to be good, and why they want Nylander and Oloffsson to continue to develop, but Smith is in his mid-twenties and paid his dues. He should be here full time. Botts is patient though and has no reason to panic as we sit 7th overall in the entire NHL. |

He doesn't, but I would try him with Jack. It's never really been given a chance and everything else has... |

He has good speed. Also played together at BU so each of them are comfortable with one another. We know Pominville can play stretches of 10 games up there but Erod can last longer. Reinhart is the only hope we have of having secondary scoring on our 2nd line. |

They played in college together but I don't think E-Rod has the skill set to play on the top line with Eichel and Skinner.
His hockey IQ is lacking.
It might work for a game or two but I don't see it working |

This works too. I just think CJ or Nylander get the call before Oloffson. But at the end of the day I'm not in that front office haha. |

Why was Brian Duff being such a jerk last night?
He pointed out that sam hasn't scored a goal in 9 games on eichels line.

Pomminville lasted 10 games because of his hockey IQ, E-Rod doesn't have that |

Agreed. It's time to stop talking about them playing together at BU. They haven't played meaningful minutes together in the NHL, under two coaching staffs. Jack has played with pretty much every other winger in the organization over that time. It's easy to see why.

I like the steps Reinhart has taken this year but just wish he had more of a shooting mentality when he is around the net. Everyone knows when he gets the puck on the PP or anywhere in the offensive zone he is looking to pass. Pominville took advantage of that space and scored. I understand that Reinhart is the better player, and pominville might not have recorded as many assists, but I do like his knack for putting the puck in the net. |

Pommer is showing his age, why cant anyone else get a shot on the top line?
Tage
Okposo
Mitts
Sheary again?
I get that the top line is playing great together. |

That's fair. I think Jack-Skinns is a good combo, but I'd like to spread that line out a bit. We need depth scoring badly. |
