Complaining about the refs can go one of two ways, help or hinder you and 90% of the time the refs get offended by being chastised. With Kesler/Burrows/Vignault here constantly crying about the refs it never put us in their good graces for almost ten years.
If we play our cards right maybe Bettman's boys will help us out at one time or another.

Canucks are so fortunate to have drafted this kid, yes well done Benning & Brackett, his ability to think the game is really above and beyond, elite, if you will.
Personally I hate the McDavid comparisons because Connor McDavid is the best player in the league today, he's really in a league of his own, no one can do the things he does...no one.
McDavid also came into the NHL a year younger than Pettersson, at the age Pettersson is now McDavid put up 30-70-100. |

I am horrendous at predictions. Usually the exact opposite happens. So if every instinct that I have is wrong, then the exact opposite should be true.

lol I have been predicting blowouts but the team keeps winning...love this reverse psychology thing.

I think the Canucks need a couple wingers to get to the level of a Jets team. Right now they only have Boeser, Jets have Wheeler, Laine, Ehlers and Kyle Connor in their top six, that's pretty impressive when you're adding them to Scheifele. - LeftCoaster
Lots of work to do yet.

So i'm getting a new 50 to 55 inch uhd hdr tv.
Samsung or LG? Other contenders?
Anyone here know?
I'm hitting the boxing week sales, under $800, less is best, picture quality trumps all.
Thanks.
wildcard is within reach.

Refs can totally be professional. But they can also be biased as we have seen all the way up to the NHL level. Percentages aside if you don't believe that in some small figure, you should't be watching Hockey my friend. |

Vantel, get over it, they have the same amount of wins (18) in three less games. They've scored 17 less goals but they've also allowed 12 less, they're about on par with each other. Give or take.
I know we're Canucks fans but that doesn't just make our team better, they're around the same except the Canucks probably have more bottom six depth when healthy. - LeftCoaster

His last 4 seasons in WAS speak for themselves. - LordHumungous
I fully agree. The 12 minutes a night average time on ice do speak for themselves.
Without sutter he's shown to be a valuable contributor, hopefully we trade Sutter for something good.

Well Green went out and specifically asked Benning to fix his bottom 6 . Yes they have three games in hand but they need to win them and I doubt they win all three.
One team is going in one direction and the other is going the other way.
You forget we had the worst schedule in the first 40 games and our injuries are way worst than Edmontons.
I am not sure of the exact record but go look at the win /loss record with Beagle on the roster and when he was injured. You will be shocked at the difference - VANTEL
Don't fall for the deflection.

Refs are paid off in professional leagues across the world. While not being fair to paint all refs with the same brush, its ignorant to not think they are capable of bias. They 100% are. Just ask burrows re Auger |

Stay with the big 2 if you can Sony or Samsung. LG is ok but not on their level IMO.
For $800 I would go with the Sony 55" 750/850 series might be a bit closer to $999 but worth the few hundred extra. For under $800 you are kinda gonna 'get what you get' for picture quality.
To be honest I would just spend $1299 and get the 55" Sony 900F. reviews exceptionally well and has 'full array local dimming' which models under $1000 just don't have. Black levels on the Sony are great it's the model I'm looking at but I'm going 65".
or the Samsung 55" Q8 might be a touch more than the Sony 900F but well worth it. |
