To be fair, Sutter and Edler would seriously help that team.

Sutter and Eagle for a 2019 1st and Pulujarvi.

Pettersson and Horvat are just making it more fun to watch but the team in reality is only a couple wins better than last year thru 40. Sorry to ruin the narrative

Well you said puck mover.
I think they need an Edler more than a Tanev at this point.

They need both. They would have trouble trying to resign Edler and them trading for a rental would be too funny.

Yes.
But at this point, I think Chia needs to go all in to save his job and the season.
Larsson is essentially a poor man's Tanev.
And they also have Russel as a defensive Dman.
Edler replaces Klefborn who is injured.

Flyers are a one line team and Provorov and Gostisbehere are having off years. They should’ve changed the coach sooner.

I thought they were gonna be slightly worse than last year but the Pettersson factor proved me wrong, happily wrong. I'm now predicting they finish 13th last, just out of the playoffs, if they (Petey, Horvat, Boeser) stay healthy.
- LeftCoaster

I predicted they would be better than last year as the Sedins were gone. Addition by subtraction. I’m smart and you are fat

I'm sceptical about Chia's autonomy at this point, can he even make anymore big trades without getting his wrist slapped by ownership?

I think it’s better all around. If they keep it up they won’t be picking high. Benning will have to figure out another way to push them over the top.

That’d be a case of a gm doing what’s best for him to the detriment of the team. Best case scenario Edler fits right in and maintains the same level of play that he’s had here. That still might not be enough to push them into the POs.

It would be a disaster of a trade without even considering what would be coming back.

He’s not the right guy to do that, other than drafting Boeser and Pettersson nothing he’s done has helped the club be more competitive in almost five years.

Top 3 would be better, but what are you going to do? Hard to be upset at players exceeding expectations.

Gaunce with another goal, amazing how he's a near PPG player in the AHL and is an offensive black hole in the NHL.
