The defense of the Hawks, like Murphy, are going back to their old habits stay home until the puck exits the zone dammit

Like the Hawks aggressive forecheck a lot, but good passing teams can expose that. Need really quick defensemen that can get back in a hurry. That is why the Hawks future is brighter than most think, the future transition game with the likes of Jokiharju Boqvist, Mitchell, and Beaudin has me really fired up how fast the Hawks play in the future. Vegas plays that aggressive style, key difference right now though, they have a blueline that always keeps their aggressive play going by turning plays right around to keep their forecheck always hounding the puck. Hawks will get there very soon, but don't have the collection of "D" currently to do it consistently.

Another nice innovation using the thermochromatic paint on the pucks to tell whether they are frozen. If they have problems with the pucks they can always use a Coors can and make it true pond hockey.

Well Toews did create that whole play with some hard work behind the net, but the young guys have stolen the show so far for the most part
