Speaking at Monday's season-ending presser, Bills GM Brandon Beane said LeSean McCoy would be back with the team for the final year of his contract in 2019.
"LeSean will come back in 2019 and we’ll go from there," Beane said matter of factly. Now on the wrong side of 30, McCoy is due $6.175 million in 2019. Cutting him would free up $6.425 million in cap space while leaving behind a modest $2.625 million in dead money. Good savings, but the Bills are already flush in cap space. Supporting cast issues take a huge part of the blame, but McCoy has seen steep drops in his YPC each of the past two years, bottoming out at 3.2 in 2018. |

I don’t care where the sacks come from
DE, DT, LB... whatever
We need someone who can legit pressure the passer & that offenses need to account for - jdfitz77
Kind of off subject, but defense isn't the issue. We make the playoffs this year with a decent offense. OL and WR should be way ahead of anything on the DL. |

Does it have to be one or the other?
Our defense still gets beat in the playoffs by Brady, Rivers, Mahommes, Luck, Big Ben...
I’m not trying to say we don’t have to fix the offense
Just that we need a legit pass rusher TOO |

With 5 picks in 1st 4 rounds of the draft, and $85m in Cap,
It comes down to making smart decisions between the two.
OL can generally be found in rounds 2 -4
WR in late 1st into 2nd and 3rd rounds
DL and CB' are best taken early.
FA-WR class isn't all that great last time I looked...not sure about OL and DL there yet.
In any case, i would hope that they can trade back and pick-up and extra 2nd....Colts would be a decent target with their 1st and then Jets 2nd rounder they own.
If they can pull that off, would allow them to
- pick a WR at around 22 if Colts bow out early in playoffs
- get two OL in round 2 with the 35th and 41st
- sign 1 WR and another OL in FA...
That would go a long way to righting the Offense |

It kind of does, yes. Only so many picks, only so much cap. Have to choose based on priority is what I'm saying.
We kept Brady to 126 yards of passing and 1 TD.
Conversely, we average 16.8 pts per game. That is the 3rd lowest in the league and literally half of what teams like KC, LA, NO and NE are putting up.
No, I don't think we need a pass rusher that bad. Hell, I'd say we needed a TE more than a pass rusher. Not sure why you are picking the defense as something that even needs big improvement tbh. |

McBean - IonSabres
Honestly, if they invest heavy on defense in the draft and free agency, I'll skip the year.
Sabres I'm a die hard.
Bills, I am getting the point of waiting until they're good. The mediocrity of the front office and 30 years of watching did this to me. |

Except -
Tre white when Gilmore left
Zay jones- because watkins. Goodwin and woods left
Dawkins- because the incognito and wood were old and Glenn was injured and lazy
Matt milano- because they let Preston brown go
Allen- because tyrod sucked and we haven't had a franchise guy in 20 years
Edmunds- because our linebackers were slow
And
Harrison Phillips- because kyle was retiring soon.
When did Beane/McDermott pick a position that we didnt need?

Exactly right where I have been for last 3 years.
I catch most games, but only for like a quarter...maybe a half.
Sabres, I try to catch all the games as much as I can....and for some I move my chair much closer! |

"I've been following the club and I'm very happy how well they're doing," Lehner said after today's morning skate. "It's well deserved. There's a lot of good people in that locker room that deserve success. I think there's a lot of talent, a lot of skill in there, obviously a lot of good additions. I wish them the best and I hope they keep going."
Lehner, who revealed in September his struggles here with alcohol addiction and bipolar disorder, said he's not thinking much about what kind of reaction he'll get from Buffalo fans. He was, of course, a lightning rod for criticism last year as the Sabres sank to last place in the NHL — although the paying customers obviously had no idea about the personal demons he was enduring.
"There were a lot of good things that came out of this city for me," Lehner said. "I also had a lot of hard times here personally. Hockey-related, you can't ask for better fans. It didn't matter how we were playing or struggling, there was always support here. There was always almost a filled rink every night. Can't ask more from the fans in this city. You really can't. They deserve the success that's happening this year." |

Holy crap: "Several sources said the Steelers’ decision to not play Brown against the Bengals had nothing to do with any type of knee injury....Brown became disgusted and threw a football in anger at one of his teammates, several sources said." |

I'm just reiterating what he said today...drafting for need is a failing strategy. I barely follow that disaster of an organization. What the hell do I know? |

First Bryant, then Bell and now Brown...
Granted Martavius wasn't a big loss with how well JuJu has played
But wow
The Bills could use a guy like Brown (so could 27 other NFL teams, not counting Atlanta, NYG, Houston and Pittsburgh)
But I am not sure he sounds like a "process" type guy |
