As much as this season is horrible I'm waiting for the inevitable Provy for someone who is 31.

Meanwhile Coots, Jake, Simmonds, JVR all keep plugging along doing nothing.

I don't like a single winger on this team anymore outside of G & TK.

Laughton too.

Bet Nissan is disappointed with him also.

With 12 forwards there are 81 possible line ciombonations. The Flyers have only tried about 60 of those. Do you think if they just keep juggling a bit more they will find what you are looking for? Maybe there is more to coaching than infinite line juggling.
- Djapana

What kind of question is this? Giroux is our best center. Voracek is our best Right Wing. JvR is our best Left Wing. We haven’t tried this.

Ken Hitchcock in a game against Calgary juggled his lines enter the third period and landed on Roenick, LeClair and Recchi. Our strongest players at their position. This line over came and won the game.

Simmonds is what he is at this point. Linemates aren't going to make him any better.

Ultimately theyve already tried about every combination of players here. It's beyond that. This roster is deeply flawed and changes will have to be made.

Not one word of this is true.

New linemates arent going to make him stop turning over the puck. They aren't going to make him commit to defense. He plays with G on the PP and it's that's obviously not working either.

He and Voracek have taken huge steps backwards this season. Add in another guy in JVR that is horrible on defense and it's not very likely there is some secret line combo that is going to fix all these holes.

This roster needs to be overhauled.

You never know unless you try.

There are certain players who are strong with the puck and certain players who aren’t. The majority of the puck time will be carried by Giroux no matter who he plays with. Simmonds never been strong with the puck, nor will playing with third line players make this fact disappear. This isn’t something that has changed about his game this season.Whether or not Simmonds plays with Giroux on the PP doesn’t matter. It’s special teams. It’s a different Scenario. If Raffl is the answer to your top line, we have bigger problems but you have to Experiment with every option available.

Fine. Try it. To me it's deck chairs on the Titanic at this point.

This core is on it's 3rd GM, 4th coach and hasn't won a playoff series going on 7 years now. Let that sink in. Anyone who doesn't think major, sweeping changes need to be made to the roster... if not now, when?

I think changes need to be made but the deadline is a couple months away and the offseason even further. So you make the beer of what you have.

They shuffled the chairs to avoid the truth of the boat sinking. That's where this team is at.

If anyone has that meme of Mortimer Duke yelling “SELL, SELL, SELL!!!”, please post it again. It’s one of the few twisted laughs I still get. Thank you!

Trade Simmonds for a 1st and a good prospect. Trade Voracek and the 1st you get from the Simmonds deal for Tarasenko. In the off season sign Stone, Tyler Myers and Varlamov. The Flyers have the cap space to greatly improve the roster and some my say that signing free agents isn't a great way to build a contender anymore but this upcoming UFA period has a lot of good players slated to be free agents. Obviously you have to build through the draft to an extent and the Flyers have done a good job of doing so but you need to complement that talent with the right outside help as well and hopefully Fletcher can make the moves to do so this off season. I feel like adding a true shoot first sniper like Tarasenko would be something that could benefit this team a lot, as well as, adding a veteran d-man.

The New Coach Bump is over. The Carter Hart Bump is over.

They are what they have shown themselves to be.

Trades are the only thing left and hopefully they will begin soon.

Tarasenko would be a great addition, but i'm not convinced that Voracek would be someone STL is interested in. Seems like a lateral move at best. If Voracek is the main piece going back i would imagine that STL would want a 1st round pick and someone like Sanheim or Myers in addition. Possibly more.

Move Simmonds for whatever possible value you can get, float Voracek out there and take the best offer available. If someone is willing to take on that JVR contract (doubtful) then ship him out too. If there is any value available for Raffl, Weal, Gudas, or Neuvirth then send them packing as well. Ride out the contracts of Amac and Weise considering they have little to zero value on the trade market. Let Carter Hart get the majority of starts for the Phantoms and continue to refine his game while Elliot and Stolarz/Lyon take the reigns on the big club.

Call up whatever warm bodies that can fill roles and ride out the rest of this failed season while our top prospects develop in the AHL and Juniors/College. None of the coaches jobs should be safe. Pray for some lottery luck and good scouting then continue building through the draft.

I would literally cry if Giroux was traded but if someone blows you away with an offer then pull the trigger and go full rebuild.

Hope that Patrick, Konecny, Lindblom, Provorov, Ghost, Sanheim, Myers, Vorobyev, NAK can step up and become long term productive players at the NHL level in their individual roles.

The absolute worst -- definitely didn't see this season shaking out like this. They were basically out of it weeks ago if they didn't start keeping pace. Done nothing but lose ground since

Right now I'm thinking about returning Gordon to Lehigh. Let Knoblauch finish the season as head coach/PP coach and clean house are NHL level at the end of the year.

I also try to move any UFA except Raffl unless someone comes with an offer only a fool would refuse for Raffl.

You've now hit rock bottom. This is on the players. Not Hextall, not Hakstol and not the current hockey staff.

Fire sale makes sense at this point for anyone you dont see playing for us next year.

Simmer isnt worth a 1st and a prospect right now. He hasn't been in a year and a half. We would be lucky with a 2nd 3rd B prospect and a condition for a 1st.

this has to be the dumbest post I have ever Read! What team in their right mind would give the flyers a first round pick and a prospect the way he is playing
don’t you think they watch the games? They see a once very good player who is either hurt or on the downside of his career. What makes you think he would play well anywhere else? I know fans overate their own players value but to think he’s worth a first round pick and a prospect is delusional!
