I think theres a negative chance they trade that pick. If anything that allows them to move someone like landeskog for a top 4 defenseman. Although they also have 2 defenseman in the system who appear to be destined to be top 4 guys with potential for top pairing. Colorado has a scary future.

I'm not as convinced Patrick is a bust. I think he may just take a coots like career arc. Might take longer to get there. Especially with all his early career injuries.
