Yeah no team wants to dump cap for a first Rd pick

Kings don't
Rangers don't

- homiedclown

"Hey, other NHL GM? Yeah, our cap problem is your cap problem because... You have too many 1st round picks. Do you like Jake Muzzin?"

Because I highly doubt they're calling and offering Doughty, Kopitar, Zibanejad, etc...

I thought Casey was our worst center last night

Evan worse then e rod

- homiedclown

He was (frank)ing terrible last night

He 100% needs to be sent down to Rochester at this point.

Okposo scored , but he bad a rough night again too.

His body language reminds me of fergy after an interception.
Head hung low.
Stayed down after missing on the wrap around
Skated into the corner during the ice scraping, while the team was together at the bench.
Even the goal , after 21 games , he didnt celebrate
Made the gap 2-1 it was an important goal

I kinda feel bad for him, lacking confidence.

I like Thompson. Yea he hasn’t shown up on the score sheet but I don’t know many bottom 6 players on respective NHL rosters that have the hands and shot that he possesses. I think he can be a good player for us in the coming years. He was a late first rounder that really shouldn’t even have seen the NHL before this season. He played well enough to get an extended look with the Blues last season although he played around 8-10 minutes a night in their bottom 6 with few looks with their top guys.

That’s fair
And i don’t wanna count Tage out
I just wonder if he’s just another “Armia”

Games like last night are a perfect example of why we need more high end players. You get those at the top of the draft and we aren’t getting a Tavares gift wrapped to us in FA. 5 years from now we won’t remember a one and done playoff series, but we will have a player that could help us be in the cup discussion year after year. ESPN’s player poll this offseason had quotes of players thinking that we could be the best team in the NHL 5 years from now and had us as the surprise playoff team. Even if we flounder this year I’m sure players know what we have brewing here.
- Pegullaville

Well spoken
I just think at 10-14 you are waiting 3 more years to even play. Then 2 more before they become a high end player

We already have picks
I kinda get the idea that skins is going bye bye at the tdl

If we drop behind 6-8 points of 8th

I trust your contacts, but wtf would make the Kings think we need yet ANOTHER defenseman at this point?

This team's history in the draft does not have me confident they will hit on more than 1 of them.

We should absolutely trade one of those 1sts away for a player under RFA age if the deal is right

- BeadyEyedDouche

I think Pekar, and Laaksonen are NHLers at one point or another and that’s fantastic considering they were drafted in the 3rd and 4th rounder’s respectively. UPL has powered Sudbury to a playoff spot and although looked bad last night he was great in his other two starts for Finland. Weissbach has great college stats for a 7th round pick at Wisconsin. Samuelsson will be a 2nd or 3rd pairing stay at home guy for us. Mittelstadt has been very disappointing this year but he still has star potential if he can put it all together. Jacob Bryson has a chance as well another LHD drafted in the 4th round out of Providence college who puts up strong offensive numbers and fits the mold of today’s NHL.

Called it

If Jake Muzzin is ever a Sabre, I stop watching. He's so beyond mediocre it's disgusting they even had the balls to offer. I wouldn't have just hung up on them, I would have laughed hysterically, maniacally until THEY had to hang up out of humiliation.

Panarin is that kind of impact player, even though it seems all reports indicate he wants the bright lights and big city.

Stone isn't Panarin, but he's damn good and would definitely fill a position of need.

- BeadyEyedDouche

Funny, I was going yo put that in my post.
He gets between 45-55 points, not bad by any means.

I'd take him.
