Local kid.

Kinda fits the profile.

Middle 6 left winger.
Scoring lately/ playing well
Affordable
Current team going nowhere - rebuilding
25 years old
Cost controlled
Shouldn't cost too much in assets
College guy- jbotts demographic
Non division/ conference trade partner

- Boss34

Why would they trade him away ?
$925,000 Cap hit - RFA
Wouldn’t he be a good piece for LA to keep if he’s got all that going for him ?

I think a Coyle trade makes sense.

He's a stop gap 2C, who can settle into a 3C role or leave in FA after next year.

I agree but not for Casey

Except most of those highlights you listed are reasons for the Kings to keep him, not deal him

I agree. Just throwing it out there.

If la plans on a 7 year rebuild like a certain team around here, iaffalo will be 32 years old.

Maybe we dangle nylander or guhle

Prospect for nhl player

Iaffalo is hardly untouchable in my opinion

That’s a lot to trade for a middle six stop gap

I guess I won't suggest any more trade targets.

I've seen recent posters suggesting were gonna get:

Pat kane
Dushane
Antonio brown

Iaffalo would fit what were trying to do.

Doesn't mean he's available.

Yeah there's 0 chance that happens.

It would be for McCabe IMO.

I found it interesting that the rumors of Minny looking to add a D man come out and Housley has McCabe play the right side to start the St. Louis game.

I don't love the idea, but they have a ton of depth at LD.

Pilut, Dahlin, NB, Hunwick, with Guhle in Rochester.

They are 6 deep with potential NHL LD

Antonio Brown has requested a trade. Im told it was not a demand but he has asked to be dealt. Very unlikely Rooney would capitulate. Brown has issues with Mike Tomlin and Ben Roethlisberger. Feels like the coach is too aligned with the QB.

2 guys that have proven a big 0 at the nhl level for an nhl proven winger?

La would get younger

With Minny losing a D for 3 months this might work

McCabe and a 3rd enough for him?

McCabe has played the right side before if I'm not mistaken, and Dumba is out, so he fills in for Dumba then can slot on the 3rd pair LD when he's back.

They also have some center depth with Koivu, Granlund, Kunin, Staal, Hendricks, and Fehr are capable of playing C

I'm not saying Iafallo is a bad trade idea. I'm just saying, for now, he's good value for the Kings and even if they're rebuilding, they still need decent, younger players around.

That being said, you're right, he isn't untouchable, but not for any of our top prospects.

I wasn't sure on the jerseys for this but watching them walk out side by side they look amazing

I also wouldn't call Iafallo a sure thing, either. He has exactly a year and a half of NHL hockey under his belt, and has just matched a career high with 9 goals.

That was huge. Loser of the US game had to play Canada in the quarterfinal.

if you dont want to make the playoff's sure... but right now they are 2 points from ninth place... if Boots waits until the end of Jan, we will be picking in the top 10.. which if that's the plan (and it sure looks like it is) fine.
- gordong

this is pretty much where many thought they'd be at the beginning of the season...however, they showed what can happen if they get on a roll...imo, they've been playing some pretty good hockey lately, but have run into some top-notch goaltending...holtby, allen and lehner were the difference-makers in three of the sabres last four losses...you can even go back to luongo in florida...

they need to keep playing like this and see where it takes them

Possibly, but their road to gold if virtually impossible. First, you play Canada at home, then Sweden (they're not losing to Switzerland), then, assuming no upset, the winnner of Russia/USA.

The US would have had to beat Canada, Sweden and most likely Russia (if not, Finland).

Now, the US has to go through the Czech Republic, Russia, and then Canada or Sweden. Still not ideal, but not nearly the death march that is the other bracket.

Mittelstadt looked absolutely horrible last night

A lot of chances no one buried

Tage looks like the only one close to breaking out

Someone has to step up and make a play other than the top line.

Ridiculous stat of the day: Of the 62 NHL and AHL teams, Tampa Bay's plus-50 goal differential leads all teams.

Sitting in second place is their #AHL affiliate in Syracuse at plus-42.

- Stripes77

They are a great coach away from becoming Detroit South

They looked completely lost without Eichel.

Can you imagine if we missed a top-2 pick in that draft
