Let's put something valuable in a bag that looks like it's holding something valuable, and then leave it unattended in a nightclub.
Good plan! |

I am fine giving up lilegren and a 1st rounder for Pietrangelo...the young roster player, not so big on. Johnson and kapanen are a big part of the team now and going forward, and I don't see them being interested in Connor brown enough to make a deal based around him. |

Not getting him for peanuts. It’ll most likely cost one of those other players soooo in other words. You’re not getting pietrangelo for want you want to give up (poopty players for a top defender). Have to give to get so idk why you think it’ll cost anything less.
No one wants brown. |

I'd probably be comfortable giving up a 1st, Liljegren, Grundstrum for Pietrangelo.
I do think some salary would need to be moved out this season to make it work though, I don't know if St Louis does it, I think it's a fair package, but I also think they could get more elsewhere. |

The Leafs should not be in the business of trading blue chip prospects and 1st rounders for a d-man who will be UFA after next season.
Just.... no. |

Also pietrangelo is the type of player to be dealt in the off-season not during the season. |

I never said they were, and I definitely never said anyone does. The underlying message was if he can't be had for a top prospect, a 1st and another lesser prospect, I let him go elsewhere.

I understood what you were saying and I’m confirming that you won’t get him for peanuts and that he would be traded elsewhere for a better package.

You need to do more reading if you think lilegren and a 1st rounder is peanuts, especially with the poop state your franchise is in. |

Ask any expert if that’ll get it done for a #1 defender with term LOL.
Lighten up kid. Please enlighten me on my teams franchise. Your team is the Mecca of hockey and can’t do poop since 67. So please enlighten me how one bad year constitutes the state of the franchise
Just stop while your behind. Again lighten up kiddo |

Again, dumbass, no one said it was enough to get a #1 defender with term. Do you have comprehension issues? The statement was that it isn't peanuts. A blue chip prospect and a first round pick is not peanuts.
This franchise is so bad it draws mutts like you to its message board, kiddo. |

LOL name calling. That pretty much sums up your intelligence. Have a goodnight
Edit. Fine Ill admit I misread your first sentence regarding liljegren and 1st is not enough for pietrangelo but that’s not why I was making my argument. My argument was you can’t not have a player like Kapanen in a deal for pietrangelo, but name calling? Is that really necessary? It’s a blog and you’re getting so upset over NOTHING. |

Chara isn't a vegan, he still eats salmon and eggs. Most "vegan" athletes give it up because it doesn't work long term and end up eating fish and eggs. - Unholy_Goalie
Yeah, it's definitely held back folks like Serena Williams and Leo Messi.
The athletes have all kinds of resources, whether private or with their team, and can easily make it work if they want. As long as they receive all the nutrients that they need, and an appropriate balance of carbs/protein/fat etc it's not too much of a problem.

yup you are correct.
I'd try to include Gardiner in the deal some how
Gardiner, Bracco and 1st 2019 for pietrangelo
something like that to start ish
this would also depend what kind of $$ pietrangelo would want on an extension. |

Petro has one year left after this one - I’d hardly call that “term.”
Also, who are these so-called “experts” you speak of?

Pietrangelo would definitely be worth it. Liljegren was a late 1st round pick and is easily replaced. Liljegren will never be as good as Pietrangelo.
Pietrangelo has 1 year left on his deal after this year and would be a pretty good candidate to re-sign considering the Leafs are a good young team and he's childhood friends with Tavares so the odds of him walking are lower than your typical rental. |

you are correct ... no one wants Dustin Brown.
no one is suggesting "poopty players", more prospects and picks - I don't think anyone who knows ANYTHING at all about hockey would call Llilgren a poopty player... but go ahead throw internet darts.
Pietrangelo shouldn't be a target for the Leafs because he's an FA after this season - and will need/want north of 8M a year.
the Leafs would be much better targeting a younger player such as Paryako who's cost controlled and has upside and less mileage on him than Pietrangelo.
please continue to share your wisdom with us as to what you would suggest would be necessary to acquire Pietrangelo... and who aren't "poopty players".
