You still have enough players to make 2 elite lines : Giroux, JVR, Panarin/Stone, Patrick, Couturier, Konecny.

Then maybe you get 2 from some of your farm teams that can play with Lindblom... Frost, Allison, Rubstov, Ratcliffe, Voroybov, Twarynski, Kase, Aube-Kubel, O'Neil, Farabee. Plus whatever young prospects you get on the Ghost deal.

Then sign a 4th line that can play a grinding shut down hockey style.

Defense: Provorov, Sanheim, Gudas, Hagg,

I would think one of Morin, Myers, and Freidman would be able to fill a 5th/6th if not multiple. And you sign or trade for one more....

Goaltending: If Elliot comes back and stays healthy resign him for 2 more years and Hart splits time with him.

This could be a very fast turn-around.

It's tough to watch the Flyers right now. Changes must be made. Except for a miracle, this season is over. Time for Fletcher to make some moves.

JVR is invisible on the ice. No effort all from him. He was a young, lazy player when we drafted him and now he's an expensive, lazy player that doesn't bother to play defense.

If I had a nickle for every time the announcers said that the Flyers shot missed the net, I would be a billionaire. Does Ghost need glasses, because he can't get the puck near the net this season?

Rawful should never be on the 1st or 2nd lines.

Sorry for the rant, but watching the Flyers is driving me crazy.....

I think it’s a pipe dream to think that Voracek is going to get you Panarin and Stone. Flyers would be lucky to get Stone via a Jake trade. Panarin is an elite player...1st round pick-plus worthy, IMO.

I disagree. He put a team on the ice that should be challenging for a playoff spot. You yourself posted time and again that they were going to make the playoffs. This team is woefully underachieving. JVR was a goal scoring winger. That was a need on this team. Especially on the left side.

I did say that but im not a gm. Theres a reason i dont get paid to build the flyers. I thought they would be but i also made the same mistakes. I expected 60 points from Patrick and Konecny. I thought they wouldnt get past round one because of the flaws but obviously cant.

Again im just a fan. Hextall is a guy that spends a lot more time watching the team and he's a guy that sees everything the tv doesnt show as well. By comparing my opinion to hextall you are basically saying hexy was just as qualified as i am to run a team

Sure when he has top level talent to do the work for him. Om sure things are a little harsher due to poor play of the team but right now hes just a scrub. He doesnt look good on the rush, doesnt manage the puck well and loses battles regularly. He's basically Simmonds except soft and we can understand what he says in interviews

That's not fair to Simmonds he's got punched in the mouth way more than JvR and if I recall had major dental surgery last year!

You're right, you are just a fan. We're all fans. There was no reason to not think that this team going into this season could improve off of last year and contend for a playoff spot. They finished 3rd in the Metro. If you think the point in saying that was to say that you are or any of us are just as qualified, you missed the point.

They might be able to get more. I know he's struggling but his overall body of work plus his intangibles could land something more than just a player.
