I hope he does soon. I honestly think he's worth more to the Rangers that a first round draft pick at the later half of the first round and a good prospect. - Pete V
If he has another month like November/December than expect a 7×7 extension. I think JG will get it done soon with a 6.6 million for 7 years. |

Also confirmed is the return of USA defenseman K'Andre Miller (NYR) to the lineup. Miller missed the 4-1 win vs FIN with an illness.

Let's hope he's better tonight. Cause he wasn't good vs Kazahkstan and Sweden. - tomburton99
I didn't see it, but I honestly don't put too much stock into it. Its fun to watch but I'd pay more attention to what he is doing in a structured environment with consistent team mates like he is doing in Wisconsin. And he is doing pretty damn good. |

Elliott Friedman reports he doesn’t think the Oilers are done dealing, they have a lot at stake. Mentions Jesse Puljujarvi’s future is uncertain. |

He didn't even need to better than Tarasenko, just not be a huge bust. But that isn't soley his fault. The Rangers drafting an enforcer in the beginning of the enforcer era dying was wildly stupid. |

Ain't that the damn truth. I had hope, he had a booming shot and I was really expecting them to work wonders with his skating. Figured the Rangers might have a poor mans MacInnis on their hands. Not even close unfortunately. |

He hasn't been playing with McDavid. He's been centered by RNH. He actually hasn't been doing well, but it's a low risk trade if Edmonton and Chiarelli are dumb enough to take a bad player back. |

No, I meant the prospect of playing on the same team as McDavid might sway someone to waive their NMC/NTC. Maybe some of the lead anchors on the Rangers would like that idea. |

The best he looked was the short stint with Yandle. That got our hopes up, then he got injured |

It's Edmonton. Nobody wants to play there excepted when overpaid. |

IDK. I think some people sell that team short with regards to desire to play there. Why would McDavid and Draisaitl sign long term? They could have gotten that money anywhere. |

Becuase they could leave till age 26. Plus they both got the extra year of AAV in Edmonton. Can't get that on the UFA market. |

True, but they could have demanded shorter deals and held out for them. Hitting FA at 26 would have been insane money for either player. Deals worth more than their current deals with shorter term. I know there is always the chance of injury that could derail that big pay check. If living in Edmonton was so terrible we might not see those players signing max term deals. |
