Path to a US gold got easier with no Sweden or Canada. Where’s Tommy Jihad?

Love it!

Too bad the Czechs won't beat the US...

Sweds are a fun team to watch. Glad the Swiss got through though. USA and Russia's tourney to lose now.

Swedes lacked elite forwards this year. Good D's as always though!

So much better tourney the last ten or so years. Teams are so close except Denmark and Kazakhstan . Get rid of trash like them and 6 or 7 teams win it

Tonight he was bad. In reality we’re the Rangers ever really that good even when we went far in the PO? Their roster was never anything scary. They overachieved a lot off hot goaltending and scoring breaks

Why ? Play in a B division where they are competitive. Don't tell me they get better playing the elite teams 4 games every year. Or every two years after getting relegated to the B division.

you would think it would boost more intrest playing in a divison where they can be competitive and have and chance to win. How many kids want to play for a team getting thrashed with zero chance of winning ?

What I do know is the only reason there are the number of teams in the WJH is for $. They want the top teams to play more games so there's more $ coming in. It has ZERO to do with promoting the game

If there's not a chance for the lesser hockey nations to play with the best, interest will slowly die!

The Russian team reminds me of when I use to play against the Indian reservation. They can skate like the wind, the player's are built like iron statues but yet they tend to choke and they look lazy 1/3 of the time.

I wouldn't put my money on the Russian's. They might make a epic comeback but they'll lose. I thought this was Sweden's year.

I don't think that's true. Soccer/football here in Canada has more kids registered than any sport.
Canada is terrible at world stage in men. I think they are rank 110 but tons of boys play it for the fun of playing , and the number keep growing

Football (I can't call it soccer) is the #1 sport worldwide - that's further apart than apples and oranges... Can't compare that to a game on ice!
