The way the league is going I think we could be seeing a lot of teams taking advantage of the rookie pay scale if it isn’t changed. Pay your top dogs the big bucks and then have a bottom 6 full of young players or vets on cheap prove it deals. It’s going to be crazy to see what Toronto/Tampa/Winnipeg do with their cap situations this offseason.

Pay 6guys, but split them up on 3 lines
2 each with a kid
4th line checking unit of cheap “vets”

Interesting stat, Sam is 16th in primary assists(all situations), Jack is 11th. And 12 and 7 respectively 5v5.

He basically played in that spot the whole game on Monday. He generated 0. The Sam and Skinner might as well have been out there without him. There were times Skinner looked like might as well have been the only forward on the ice.
