So I know I am not alone, I really enjoyed the winning earlier in the season, it was great!
BUT, going into the year, almost everyone thought / said, we would be competitive and challenge for a playoff spot. That is exactly what is happening.
I want (big) trades just like everyone else, but usually in a trade you give up a lot to TRY something new. We all need to be patient. We did not think we would win the cup (or go far in the playoffs) this year, so building this team correctly is the hard but right thing to do.
I trust J Botts and think he will deliver.
This is just like the Bills making the playoffs last year, tons of hope in a rebuilding (building up) year, which is tough as a fan to stomach, but it was the right thing to do. |

Sheltering? If its one game and your star center is hurt, you would think your young "2c" would step in to see what he is capable of with actual top 6 wingers.... - CoHo_to_B-Lo
Yea well Housley apparently didn’t get that memo. |

Bills would of had more assets too if they just lost out and didn’t make the playoffs. They had to do a bit of maneuvering to get into the top 10. Did the playoff experience help the Bills this year ? Asking for a friend. |

I understand your argument (that is normally my argument) but I think making the playoffs helped the fans more than the players, but it needed to happen.
Some weird fluky play got us into the playoffs, that is normally the other way, a weird play gets us out of the playoffs. A lot of fans thought we would never make the playoffs again, glad that is past us.
It is real easy to look back and say, we should have went 0-16 in 5 straight years so we would be amazing now! Similar to the Browns! They still have a long way to go, but it seems they have their QB (how many 1st overall picks did they have and they just now found one?). The NFL draft has a lot more misses in the top 10 then the NHL does, so it is not really the same thing to me. I hated the Allen pick, but have been watching him every week and really like his progress. Knowing everything now, I don't know that I would have wanted the Bills to do anything different. |

So, are we bad again? - RhinoFan
we've won 4 of 14 since the win streak.
Id say 4-11 is pretty bad... |

No one is going the replace Jack, but stylistically (speed, pass first) Erod is the closest. He's going to pleasantly surprise those who haven't already decided he sucks imo - jcragcrumple
I will try to give him the benefit of the doubt...but disagree, I think we should see what Mitts can do for those two. I would give it a game, if they suck, can always go back.
Partially, this is based on my opinion that Mitts has been held back somewhat by his linemates. |

that's acceptable to you??

Sabres win, buh bye Ror, Sabres looooooooooose we desperately NEED can’t live without, immediate second line center.
Opening up that hole filled the defensive gap and opened up room to explore more players to fill in the bottom 9.
This is a good problem for a young team to have and in no way should rush to fill. - washedup20
Bogo for Kadri.
Can both teams live with an inter division trade. I doubt it.
Trade and Money makes sense for both teams. Kadri scored 30 on a bad team and can be a 2C.
Bogo is one injury away from missing 20. Kadri is locked up for 3 years.
Mitts will come along, be patient. Risto should never leave at his salary.
Buffalo will have cap trouble in 2 years but not worse than Toronto next year so clearing Kadri money will help.
We are not getting the breadman or the other snipers because of Okposo's money. That has to be cleared first. |

Isnt that what we said about the 5 in a row they lost after the streak?
So 4-6 is ok???
Or is this a year long bump in the road again??? "we're rebuilding for another 3 years" bump in the road??
Ive been bumping this road for seven years. I was told once we got 23...then 9...then 26...that we were on our way. Now I have to wait for 37 too???
and Pilut? And Olaffsson?? And Nylander?
meanwhile...other teams just go to the playoffs year after year after year ?
How long have Boston fans had to wait? |

Tell your friend that the pressure this entire organization was feeling from "the 17 year draught" was worth the 2nd or 3rd we needed to trade up a few spots.
Unless we completely tanked for baker mayfield

Pilut has played what 6 games? and people think he's ready to be top 6. Casey same thing, 10 games last year and he's ready for 2nd line center? please stop - SABRES 89
Some of us have a lot more sense than this.
But if you trade a Ristolainen in a deal for a player like Seguin, it helps this team. Ristolainen puts up most of his points on the PP, and he is usually a significant minus player (+/-).
That's the only scenario you trade him |

Most sacks charged directly to QBs this season (as opposed to blockers):
Dak Prescott 15
Deshaun Watson 14
Russell Wilson 13
Patrick Mahomes 10
Mitchell Trubisky 9
Jared Goff 8
Lamar Jackson 8
Josh Rosen 7
Hmm no sign of Allen |

Why not?
Leafs have a desperate need for D help and if Bogo stays healthy, he is a solid player.
The drop off for the Sabres to the next Dman is not nearly has far as a 2 C.
Good luck keeping Marner with the Nylander contract. Tor has to make room. Bogo can be shipped very easily at anytime. |

Dude this is one of the stupidest trade suggestions to come along in a long time.
Kadri is 5x the player Bogo is. And I hate Kadri. |
