BTW, on music, that Sound City documentary with Dave Grohl was awesome because it was ultimately about how he is one of the leaders of the return to ANALOG recording.

Something about properly miked rooms with tube amps recording real music to mag tape masters to vinyl records that just cannot be replicated.

Makes a difference IF you have a room properly set up to listen in.

On the other hand - I have all of my music (about 18,000 songs) on my iPod and iPhone. I carry my entire music library with me wherever I go. Sound good enough in my car - and in my accoustically challenged home.

Can't do that with vinyl.

Seen Paul a few times. The guy can jam. Really not a Beatles fan though. I prefer the Stones.

I think this tournament raised more questions about the draft then anything else. Even about some Hawks prospects.

Another 7 or so weeks until the TDL. Hopefully it gets a little wild. I feel like enough teams are desperate one way or another.

Based on some of the posting it sounded like guys like Joker, Boqvist, Kurashev, Entwistle and Barrett acquitted themselves well. Was that your take?

Because of the government shutdown, visa applications are not being processed as quickly as before.

Hopefully, Mr. Caggiula (or Mr. Wirtz) has some connections that can get it done.

Went to post yesterday that I think the mailbag is a great addition and would be great to have one maybe quarterly, and possibly one in the summer. Never went through as there was some tinkering from Comcast or AT&T going on in the neighborhood and my internet went down.

This may have been along the lines of what you were already thinking for mailbag, but wanted to wish you a Happy New Year and thanks for a great 2018...here anyway, what happened on ice obviously wasn't always fun.

Sorry for all the Dan Roan fans but starting next season there will be no more Blackhawks games on WGN. NBC Sports Chicago will carry all games.

I got to see the stones, once. Way before prices now. I saw Paul over the summer. He said he knew Mick and Keith way before they were cool. He said they put out music that wasn't liked, and Paul said just do a cover of this song (sorry, I can't remember the name of the song) because we got a hit off of it. Keith and Mick did the song, got a hit, next came Satisfaction, probably the greatest rock and roll song ever, haha.

I know, that's why "haha" was there. I just found it funny for 2 great song writers to have a rough start, then do Satisfaction to top the charts for a long time, and still play the crap out of it today. I love the stones, but Sticky Fingers, that's the greatest, for me.

Delia. No brainer. At best they will alternate. But if Delia stays hot he will start getting a larger share.

The only other factor is if Ward would waive his NMC. In that case he could play more to be showcased.

Delia would be the prudent choice, so I'll go with Ward.

I read that Lehner is the likely starter for the Islanders. EnzoD gets to see his hopeful Hawks free agent additions Anders Lee, and Brock Nelson tonight. Their numbers look good, I just never paid much attention to the Islanders, so I know nothing about them.

Sounds like a good comparable. I could see Entwistle, Barratt, and Soderlund forming a 3rd line that can score, hit, and agitate. Just be a complete pain in the ass to play against in more ways than one. One can dream.

Man!!! That Pettersson kid is something else. Hattrick tonight puts him at 22 goals and 42 points in his first 37 NHL games. On pace for 45 goals and 86 points. That is with him missing about 7 games earlier due to injury.

I'll admit it, I'm jealous that the Canucks got this guy 5th overall in the draft.

This is why when a few of is had the debate a few weeks back, if you get the #1 pick and Vancouver calls and offers Pettersson for it so they can have the Hughes brothers you take it and RUN. As good as Hughes projects to be, we KNOW what Pettersson can do and could jump in your top 6 next year at an elite level. Not saying that it could or will happen but this was my argument as to why if it did it would be well worth it to do

So when Jokiharju gets back to don't have to send anyone down, correct? They will have 7 D-men on the roster. So some rotation of Forsling, and Gustafsson (or Seabrook) sitting out?

My bet is Ward.

If Delia gets the start it only, IMO, re-enforces the idea that Ward only got the start for the Classic for two reasons;

One, veteran status as a guy who's been in the league for years and played in big games before

Two, fear of killing Delia's confidence on a big stage and stunting his development

JC would be smart to give Ward the start and then let Delia get in after tonights game
