The farm system would look awesome with Jack Hughes in it. |

He has (or had) been scratched the last three games, so that's not a great sign(?)
But this should give Jokiharju that confidence boost he was sent to the WJC to get

Canada has been eliminated in the World Juniors by Finland ...
Toni Utunen scores for Finland in OT. Incredible. #WJC2019 |

No medal for Canada. Finland got such a lucky bounce to survive with the goalie pulled. Fast forward to OT, Canada had an open net and Dobson's stick broke, resulting in a rush the other way, Finland scored. What a crazy finish. |

He's playing tonight, made a tremendously instinctive pass on USA's goal to take the lead.
I've been watching, looking for Hawks prospects, for the most part, they've acquitted themselves very well. It's interesting on Mitchell's goal, Henri was on the ice defending and was in the right place, he just got a tough bounce, ended up with Mitch and he sniped the goalie in that Canada/Finland game.

Canada had a wide open net (Tippett I believe) and the player's stick broke. The Finns immediately came down and scored to win it. The tying goal was a bit of of a fluke too (with 46 seconds left in the game).
But such is life, Canada can't win every year. It would have been nice have earned a medal on home nice.
Edit: It as Dobson's stick that broke. |

Finland population of 5 mil, CAN 30 mil, USA 330 mil. FIN has to play that way, stay close, limit chances, get a bounce late. Exactly what happened.

Finland actually played a great game. They had a big edge in shots, but what a finish. I don't mind Finland doing well. |

Finland is an awesome country. What makes them awesome is they don't go around spouting they are awesome all the time. Good for the Fins to get one done. They also have some good music that comes from there, though Sweden (At the Gates, Opeth) and Germany (Kreator, Helloween, Scorpions, Blind Guardian) probably have them beat. |

AHHH - that explains it. Why I had the question mark as I hadn't seen anyone officially report why, but some claiming he'd been scratched.
Good news. |

Looking more and more that defense will be an organIzational strength, at least on paper, but I'm with you on Forsling. Posted this at JJ's site concerning the 22 yr old:
IMO it’s waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too early to give up on Forsling. Kid is 22, played on 3 WJC teams for defenseman factory Sweden and has less than 100 NHL games. ……. Sure the eye test shows a kid who turns the puck over and makes some poor decisions but it also shows a KID with good size who is a ++skater. You just don’t give up on a physical package like that with his back class with less than 100 NHL games, you just don’t.
Hawks are going nowhere and the most important thing is how they allocate NHL minutes as a result. If they think the NHL minutes are stunting his development send him down, otherwise keep giving him those experience gaining minutes. At evens he’s been on the ice for 9 goals for and 10 against. So despite the eye test and ALL his underlying numbers he hasn’t hurt the club.
Develop the kid. - Mr Ricochet
Problem is that they have to trade him while he has value. As a 22 year old he still has value as a prospect. Cannot wait forever and then dump him for nothing...ie Kyle Beach. |

Did ya hear Abba was offered ONE BILLION dollars to do a tour.
They turned it down. poop I don't even really like Abba but I'd learn every stinking song they have on drums and would take copious amounts of pills to deal with my nerve issues and all they have to pay me is 5 million. |

Wolf named bands from Sweden, which I said ABBA. He also named bands from Germany, which I said Rammstein. Not sure if you were correcting me. Stockholm, Sweden. I thought I had it right? |
