Dreger said the same more or less....while he hasn’t scored he said there are some GMs that have been high on him since Hitch took over and that now might be the time before his value starts dropping more

I'd be looking at the Wild with one of Zucker or Coyle coming back. Spooner goes with to free up necessary cap space.

Zucker would be a steal, such an underrated player. Would be amazing with McJesus or give Drai a winger to help him carry his own line

Absolutely an excellent player. Speed, tenacity and finds the soft areas to score; an excellent fit for Draisaitl. Seems like Minnesota has need of a change of pace, too. Most likely that means Coyle well before Zucker but I'd push for the latter.

Puljujarvi and Spooner for Coyle and maybe a pick or Puljujarvi, Spooner and a 2nd for Zucker. Not sure that either gets it done, but those are a good starting point.

I would love to have Zucker or Coyle.....too bad we didn’t have a defencemen to dangle in a trade since Dumba is out....well that’s not true we got a bunch of bottom pairing guys

Believe it or not, I think that the Oilers and Flames could be a match here.

How about Puljujarvi for Kylington. 1 for 1 - hockey trade. Both are young (20 and 21 respectively); both potentially have high ceilings. Kylington would fill a huge Oilers need - wouldn't he? Puljujarvi does not necessarily fill a huge Flames need, but he offers them depth on the right side and they can take the time to let him develop slowly if needed. Maybe Frolik is somehow included? That fills another Oilers need.

From the Flames perspective, there is no need to move Kylington immediately - however they will likely lose him or one of their 3 young stud Defencemen (Valimaki, Andersson or Kylington) for nothing, to Seattle in a year's time - so trade now for a young asset with a high ceiling - but in a position where they can use the depth that trade would provide. Thoughts??

Gonna have to pass. I appreciate his skills but the reason we'd be moving Puljujarvi is because we need proven skill in our forward corps to contribute to the team now. Kylington doesn't factor in as either a proven asset or a forward.

there is only one gm that I know would make that deal and sadly we employ him.....speaking of defencemen I’m somewhat doubting we might see Sekera this year....something seems off there plus spending that LTIR money

I hear ya, and that is the reason I suggested that maybe Frolik might be part of the deal. He is a proven middle six right winger (maybe top 6 on some teams). He has a great work ethic, he is the most fit player on the Flames (even better than Giordano), he is 30 yrs old - so not too old - but still experienced, has cup experience from the Black Hawks, he is a very good penalty killer and he is deceptively fast. The Flames depth is just making him the odd man out right now.

However, Kylington + Frolik is likely too much from the Flames perspective to give up for a player that potentially could be a bust - or could be a star. Maybe a 2nd round pick comes back with Pulj??

Nah I just figured I would try and be a Chia supporter for a day so I can maybe understand how in 2019 that’s still even a thing

I think he would have been far better off, developing in the AHL, the one thing the Oilers did right was sending Drai back down to the dub. They cant do that with poolparty, but him and yammo are gonna get screwed up because of management.
