I hear ya, and that is the reason I suggested that maybe Frolik might be part of the deal. He is a proven middle six right winger (maybe top 6 on some teams). He has a great work ethic, he is the most fit player on the Flames (even better than Giordano), he is 30 yrs old - so not too old - but still experienced, has cup experience from the Black Hawks, he is a very good penalty killer and he is deceptively fast. The Flames depth is just making him the odd man out right now.

However, Kylington + Frolik is likely too much from the Flames perspective to give up for a player that potentially could be a bust - or could be a star. Maybe a 2nd round pick comes back with Pulj??

Frolik isn't of interest, at least in a Puljujarvi trade. The main piece is still Kylington (who doesn't address our issues) and all you've added is a rental forward that doesn't do much for us for a higher price than he'd garner at the TDD. So again, no.

I don't think there's a trade to be made between the Oilers and Flames.

I think Yamamoto could be an effective bottom-6 guy, as well. He doesn't have the speed of a Paul Bryon, but his mind seems capable of knowing where to go on both sides of the puck. That's a valuable trait for young players to have. His problem is that he hasn't proven capable of finishing his chances in the space that he finds.

I'd move whichever brought in the better long-term option for the team. If Minnesota wants Yamo over Puljujarvi in a deal for Zucker, I'm not complaining.
